In this world of 20th Century such articles are pity...knowledge is not bound of any thing....what a biased article....Germans are best engineer they all donot know english...nor do Russians....nor French...nor Chinese... why a person should be bound to one language for being literate...according to me the best Engineering Language is Sanskrit which is our heritage & we should learn it & make an example for the who world to follow us... I THINK WE ALL INDIAN's Should have a thought about SANSKRIT than English

absolutely..i appreciate you. chetu..write this a 2000 times for our public and still such nonsense articles will be coming in every other day..
100 % Chinese engineers, 100% Russian engineers, 90 % German engineeers and 100% Japanese engineers don't know English and yet they are doing a better job than 50% of our engineers who are supposedly good at English--even better than 100% english knowing British engineers.English has become a tool in the hands of our elite to keep most of the Indians poor by shuting them out of top jobs.
So what if an engineer cannot converse in English. Go to Japan, South Korea, China, Russia, . . . even thay cannot speak english but are great at engineering.
For that matter European neighbors of England like France and Germany also cannot speak fluent English.

you need engineers to present their projects. This is one of the reasons that Engineering colleges devote soft skill training (CRT) to the students. It is all together a different matter whether this initiative works or not?
I don't umderstand....what this article means....Has it been proven that only those engineers who knows english are better engineers ?
Who cares they are fluent in english or not. Go to China and see, 70 % plus of their engineers don't even know full ABCD, but are better engineers than any one in western world.
Its just a matter of what you are grown up with... An american or british citizen will have much tought time to learn spanish or hindi or madrin compare to english because they grow up with english as their mother tounge......
This article is purely promoting the company who did the serve and nothing else.
Please do a serve about engineers who knows english and engineers who do not and who is better......those results might mean something.

To understand the concepts and express freely, everyone should know english atleast basic levels because our text books are in english. So there is a difference compared to other countries like china, japan, French, Italy..etc. Most talented people left behind because they cannot express themselves freely.So the article means a lot. We cannot ignore our level.
Running affordable classes by pvt institutes and all companies giving training to the youngsters in functional English. It needs no research to tell us that Indians are inherently weak in English. Apply the same yardstick to firangs and Chinese, Koreans' knowledge of Hindi, Tamil etc. What is their level of English ? Read any operating manaual of a Chinese/Korean product and you will know. Indians are better in English grammar than even Britishers, it is proven. Companies like Aspiring Minds are just trying to establish their business, they will do anything to promote it.
I routinely get irritated with poor English. I wish people knew better. I sure agree English is no great language as there is not much logic in it but then one quickly loses respect when bad English is being seen or heard

90% of engineers in europe, china and japan do not know english at all. What was not said is 90% of indian engineers do not know basic math, can not draw any graph and do not basics of their discipline and that matters. They are not eingineers rather call center coolies and hence english is needed.
