Number of Open Positions Vs Opportunity
by salil srivastava on Feb 27, 2012 08:26 PM

There are not much open positions for the leaders.Leaders are probably coming from IIM's and others are satified with clerks.Still most of clerks are from India that good news.We cannot think about creating as many leaders its not practical. The most vital thing is employee satisfaction and the avenue to go high in carrer, even if they landed as Clerk are you in position to give them opportuinity to become leaders. Its now yours turn.

Indian Business Schools...............................
by ABHIRAJ RANAWAT on Feb 27, 2012 08:23 PM

Dear all, wealth is created by agriculture and industry and the business happens in the market. These so called MBA students have ever bought or sold goods and made profit in or before their training. They seat in air-conditioned class rooms and their life revolves around lap top and serach engines. Do they have thorough understanding of business processes. Our corporate yuppies have always been inflationary and are interested in fat packages. Do they even understand cash flows, and impact of various business decisions on it. Do they really understands concepts like valuation of business. The answer is purely no.They work in a structured set up with number of people and never has understanding of full business. Help of outside consultants is always available to help in all the fields and they more or less work as a co-ordinator for fat packages and are ever willing to jump and shift their loyalties. Most of them do not deserves the fat packages they get.

Management degrees
by J D on Feb 27, 2012 08:23 PM  | Hide replies

Indian management degree graduates are at disadvantage. The real reasons in my view are:
Lack of fluency in conversations.
Lack of civic sense.
Lack of attention to detail
Most importantly lack of boldness in pursuing their ideas
Good ideas from any human rather than just the management should be given thought and put to practice

EACHEMPATI CHARYULU
MBA Clerks
by EACHEMPATI CHARYULU on Feb 27, 2012 08:20 PM

The author is absolutely correct. Barring IIMs most of the MBA Course scrips padagogy that can only penetrate to render ordinary jobs that even a man with common sense and little training can perform. You donot need to pay heavy fees to private business schools to enable you to plough clerical material. It is thickly a money making racket for rocketing the business school promoters to quick money zones!IIM students are not useful unless they become entrepreneurs or join public sector. By joining private sector jobs they only help the private owners to become richer unless the firms are quoted shares and widely held. Doing job by going abroad without serving even for a day in India can be deemed as height of their selfishness. Govt spends lot on IIMs graduates. Like doctors they too need to serve minimum 3 years in govt firms. Otherwise it is like the case of a son leaving the mother who took pains to raise him and walks away with his wife (pvt sector)who did precious little for his position and shares his booty.

As For Our B Schools
by Balan Iyer on Feb 27, 2012 08:14 PM

Whether the products of Ivy League or ordinary B Schools,as pointed out by Nancy Gibbs in Time Magazine,we are just academic brains and never creative brains.Take ths case of Mark Zuckerberg,a Harvard Product, who created FACE BOOK,the massive IPO of which, worth about 5 Billion Dollars will open in the month of May But contrast it with the criminal brain compo unded with academic brain of Rajat Gupta from the same Harvard B School, facing the sentence of 105 year prison term for insider trading in the NY Stock Exchange.
