This silly activity is introduced / injected into our culture to promote he sale of western products and make profits while Indian fools feel privileged.
First I would like say that such thing is not required & not relavent, because 1. I have not seen such day being celebrated when i was in school/college's. 2. we should always follow/copy the things from western only when it is useful to our society & nation & of course it should be relavent our culture. 3. finally someone may say that "if it is good we should follow it", then why not we learn/copy science & technology, but no? because it takes lot of effort, which we don't like. means we are copying the things which are easy/cheap & which will stimulate our desire /lust.
Love is not for one day in a year nor can it be expressed in public park or a pub. This is a human weakness for flesh and lust being exploited by foreign businessmen at the cost of a culture. Imagine, valentines are available for one day for a price now and they are advertising it! Is this what is love? If so, better not give red light area a new name and legalise it atleast!
First of all Valentine Day is special only for the people who were in Love. For the rest of the miserable creatures this has no significance. Falling in Love and pushed into love are like chalk and cheese. So the rest are unable to understand it at all.
Second India has, and only India has the monument, one of the wonders of the world built exclusively in the name of love. Why cant we celebrate a Taj day instead of Valentine (some unknown saint to Indians).
Its a known fact that the card/gift makers have populariesed this day which was unheard some 15 years ago. But there were true lovers before that also. They fell in love and dedicatd themselves to that heavenly feeling.
The young generation must understand that we should not run after everything western, if its good enough we accept it. If its trash we need to dump it in dust bin.
Atleast we could have made this day little desi by dedicating it to the most beautiful symbol of love, the Taj.

Taj may be a built for love of one person, but it is not a symbol of love it is a monument which house a grave. There are tow human being Resting in peace in its crypt. Taj day can not be celebrated.
if you like it celebrate it, if you dont, just stay home sobbing in front of your computer.. Thats it... Nobody is asking you to go out to do shopping if you are cheap.. nobody is restricting you from doing anything..
And yes all the "indian culture" enthusiasts here, love still existed before V'day came to india, and even if you sadistic souls somehow stops it, love will still exist and flourish..
I dont understand what problem people got with any excuse to celebrate...
There is no compulsion to buy anybody anything if you have got the balls. But nooooo, you are too weak to deviate from ongoing trends, so you just have to criticize others to kill their happiness too....
Who the f@*k is valentine to tell me when to love my partner? I don't need some stupid drunken saint from western mythology to tell how to live my life.

St valentine is not a mythology and he is not connected with love in any way. Modern world has commercialized it and made it a d saint of love when he is not. just like mothers day which is a Victorian issue. Mothers day was one Sunday in a month when the people working far away will be allowed a day of work to visit and pray at the church in the area where either their mother lived or was their parish. This day off called mothers day since one visited his/her mother and prayed in the same perish church as their mothers did. Again it has become commercialized and fathers day was added some 20 odd years ago. Commercial pundits also tried to add grand parents day but it failed to catch any momentum of populerity.
I love Valentine Day I just wait for this lovely day to come. Its' this day were we can show or express each others love. No douth you can always love your lover every day, but this day (valentine Day is s special day for lovers). So I which all the lover a very happy and loved Valentine Day
Observation of valentine day is a migrated incident and is highly against the indian culture. The love between male and female is a natural process of attraction between both. It is a devine subject and not so cheap to propagate openly. In our Culture unification of male and female is unification of souls. It is not avanity or illusion but a divine. So called valentine is completly a man created subject and to my belief it is an hypocrate thoughts of a mad person. That is why thisday observation had frusted many male and female. Therefore it should be stop rather MARRIAGE day should be observed.
