Soon there would be hardly any vegetarians left in India...

considering the number of people embracing non-veg food these days..
Its a proven fact that healthiest diet in the world is mediterranean diet which is mix of veg and non veg food.
For all involved in body building and serious muscle growth, veg food is not an option at all..
Herbivores hav flat teeth, carnivores have pointed teeth, nature has given us both flat and pointed canines..so we are made to consume both kind of foods..

we don'nt need to do what elephant does to keep our human strength. Aashish singh just says that veg food is sufficietn to keep you strong and health. With regard to serious muscles what Mr.Ahmad said may be correct. I can only say that I am lacto veg, very healthy and never saw any one healthier than me, and am stong too, stonger than all non-veg normal people of my age. I have proved this several times in my life.

" Medical studies prove that a vegetarian diet is easier to digest, provides a wider range of nutrients and imposes fewer burdens and impurities on the body. The vegetarian elephant and horse demolish any apprehension about veggies being mental or physical weaklings. Other muscular and intelligent animals ... the cow, giraffe, zebra, rhinoceros, the apes and more ... are vegetarians too. "

" In a large measure, the destruction of ancient rain forests, loss of top soils and the consequent increase of water impurities have all been traced to the single fact of creating pasture lands for livestock being reared for meat. Millions of animals are bred for meat production. If they were not bred and the vegetation was used to feed people, there would be no poverty in the world. "

Eating meat on a daily basis in big quantities is observed mostly in US (due to prevalance of macho ego) and western
europe(Germany). Rest of world either eats meat few times a week or is vegetarian.

Research before you write!!!

Rediff has this uncanny knack of coming up with useless articles that stand testimony to the amount of misinformation that it carries along.

Vegetarians who do not consume dairy products are called vegans.

And again, people who have meat occcasionally, are deemed unfit to be called vegetarians.

Above this, Rediff puts out a message at the bottom:

"LifeMojo is one of the most trusted source of information about good health and wellness."

Somewhere, do you ever screen the articles that you post on your website?
