In India 1600 is the total number of rapes reported in a population of billion people last year, that means one lady in 30 lakh has a probability of getting raped, let assume only 10%(worst case) rapes getting reported, that means one on 3 lakh has such a probability,U have more probability getting hit by a truck in road, crime against women is such a overhyped reality,But this 1600 is enough for media report 5 rapes per day .So media ca do their business. This is big industry across world,NGOs to get government grants,UN funds.Only in a such a overhyped criminal environment these Feminist organization can exist and also easy life for some leeches. Now think of a world men and not attracted to women

women should hit the penis if someone attemps rape
by Guest on May 13, 2009 03:59 PM  | Hide replies

I always wonder why it is not tought or written anywhere that in self defense women should hit the penis of male somehow if he tries to rape her. I think it is the best way to escape, I know males are stronger than women but still there are chances to hit the penis.

PREVENTION BETTER THAN CURE
by indian on Apr 25, 2009 09:48 AM  | Hide replies

Females should willingly cover their body fully with loose clothes such that neither the skin nor the shape of the body should be clearly visible. This would solve most of these problems. We would not require any moral policing thereafter.

As per ur weird logic.. even saris should be banned...
i guess the try to see in every female is the shape of her body n skin no matter what she wears...
why should females keep on adjusting when males don't change n keep getting wierder and unreasonable with time?
after a few years by ur logic.. all women will have to wear a burqua...or veil..
its a pity that females are still being blamed more as cause of rapes.. rather than the rapists...

Women constinuitionally privileged
by suresh chawdhary on Apr 25, 2009 09:19 AM  | Hide replies

There is nothing called women being the weaker sex. It's men who are oppressed in this country. See the laws, Domestic violence, 498a , rape law (376) and be it the sexual harassment law at workplace. Who is responsible for this? Congress of course who has been busy creating these gender baised laws. I get to surprise how come men are put behind bars just on a mere complaint and then they have to prove their innocence to get out of this. This mentality of judiciary and law is making more and more people suffer. these gender based division is new of its kind, being latest after religion, caste and region based politics.Even few laws like Domestic violence and 498a are creating problems for mothers in law, sisters in law though it was created for the benefit of the women. What is this going on???

dear mr.suresh, i give due regards to your views relating to laws on domestic violence, adultery, sexual harrasment on work place,498A etc.but how is it related to the deeds of the congress. All the matters you have mentioned are related to the INDIAN PENAL CODE and any loopholes therein is undergoing debates in the higher judicial bodies even in the parliament.Ofcourse, i too believe there needs some amendments. Again, if women are constitutionally privileged how is it related to a henious crime like RAPE. Any incident/offence like rape should be condemned to the fullest. But I support you in one aspect i.e.,if the congress plays gender based, religion based or caste then BJP led NDA should be supported so that stricter laws may be implemented to control the evils of the society.

I agree to some of your points. These days we come across many instances where women have misutilized these acts like 498 A to harass their husband. I have seen how women have claimed alimony from their husband as a result of divorce but have used that money for fun with some other guys. Marriage as an institution should not be abused. A counter to 498 A should exist where a husband can claim an appropiate amount/exemplary punishment if 498 A is misutilized

you are talking as though this justifies that poor woman getting raped !!!. how can somebody's rape make you feel better. OR you are claiming she shouted rape and got away with it!? Not all women, not all situation the same. Please do with your situation, instead of posting such stupid comments here.
