Comment on the Mahesh Vijapurkar's Article on TV news channel
by Chandravinod Pathak on May 18, 2009 11:36 AM

I agree with the comments by Mahesh.

The presenter was the leader of the stupid gathering. Presenter had no control over the speakers. He will keep talking non-sense.He always gave the biased impression.

Presenter needs to learn how to conduct interviews. Every one speaks at the same time.
They will not allow panelisat to speak.

partisan press
by natraj tanjore on May 18, 2009 11:33 AM  | Hide replies

NDTV / Cnnibn faulted NDA / BJP for their loss by attributing the fact that both Advani and Modi attacked Manmohan as weak prime minister! They conveniently forgot that Manmohan / Sonia and Rahul like parrot repeated about kandhahar and godhra episodes in all their rally meetings. The retort of manmohan as weak prime minister was in response to their constant jibe on kandhahar and godhra. As the author has rightly pointed out, the oxford educated gentleman wants us to forget 1984 riots but remember babri / godhra / kandhahar. I am glad, i dont have such fancy degrees like our PM, which have not helped him in any way in asserting himself. Compared to him Lalu is any day preferrable, atleast he speaks out his mind and doesnt exude a holier than thou attitude!
People will definitely rue 2004 and 2009 results in a decade as the misgovernance will be fully felt by then, like how US and World is feeling alan greenspans policies now!
The most partisan reporting is that channels said BJP Lost because they didnt want a 80 year old prime minister as if Manmohan is far far behind!

"MMS is aweak PM" it is statement without any suport.Khandhar is a issue which describe how the situation was held by BJP.MMS has done best possible after 1984 riots but BJP has not donev any thing thing after Godhra. Some of people's in BJP feels proud and think that it was necessary to teach a lesson to a particular community. You may be knowing that people who were accused of riots are still in Modi's goverment and cogress has thrown them out.

TV Channels mislead the 3rd and 4th Front Leaders
by aam desi on May 18, 2009 11:01 AM  | Hide replies

The author has written a very good article which most people are aware of and that explains the low turnout in the cities. 3rd and 4th front leaders were projected by the media channels as game changers - those wily leaders beleived the media and lost contact witht he people. they were eyeing seats not to represent people but to horse trade. luckily for india - the result and brought in recession for horse trading. there will be horse trading ofcourse but it at donkey prices.

Agree in toto with the author, the media has stooped down to the lowest, intellectually biased discussion.Role of NDTV in particular is questionnable.

Do not queston. Just stop watching it. If millions stop watching it, its rating would down and ultimately close down. Why do you blame it and encourage it. There are better channels to watch. Atleast keep watching the DDNews, they may not give you colourful graphics but give you enough information to analyze on your own.
