Arnab King of Crap
by sandeep das on May 18, 2009 03:55 PM

Arnab Goswami is the king of Crap. He makes a profession of making any non issue into the ONLY issue. Trivia is what he bases his observations on. May his mouth fill with sores.

Mahesh vijapurkar ,
Yes most of the stuff you have said in your article is true . However your suggestions ( or may be of ratnakar ) are impractical .
You say that the TV journalism has become more of entertainment . You are spot on , this is MORE ABOUT FINANCIALS THAN ANYTHING ELSE . But can you come out with a better solution ? No you can just crib .
As a matter of fact some TV channles did a very good coverage of elections ( NDTV , CNNIBN) were pretty good as a mtter of fact both these channels actually predicted the trends ( if not the numbers accurately ) and also came out with logical explanations eg CNNs analysis of TN when they again went on air because their earlier data was faulty / incomplete .
As to analysis part , in TV era no one wants deatiled analysis every body wants 2 second summary . Probably you are from the old school and prefer detailed anaylsis of newspapers . But my suggestion to you is stick to the medium which suits you the best . For me , i think the election coverage was ok and i will stick to TV .

Inane TV Channels
by deshbhakt on May 18, 2009 02:20 PM

All news channels must be dumped into dirty Musi (at Hyderabad), or Sabarmati (Ahmedabad), or Yamuna (Delhi), or the nearest drain wherever possible.

The bunch of jokers led by Rajdeep Sardesai, Arnab Ghosh, Sangeeta Ghosh, Barkha Dutt (arrrrghhh...) etc etc are a curse to the media and the suffering nation.

Give me back good old DD or AIR any day - for real news. Else watching the Roadies on MTV is more realistic than these dumb channels ....
