The analyses is baseless as it does not consider the ground reality of Indian democracy. The out come of the Parliamentary Election is neither the appreciation of the Manmohonomics nor is the mandate of the voters for 5-year UPA governance. The muslim vote bank, which left congress 20 years ago have staged a come back. The pattern of muslim voting is reflected through out the length and breadth of India. Muslim voters voted en masse for congress or their electoral partner whatever, wherever. They could not depend on the hyper secular parties like CPM, CPI, Lalu's RJD or Mayawati's BSP. Congress won the race of muslim appeasement amongst the parties that has nothing to do with PM Manomohan Sing's good governance, economics; yuva leadership of Rahul Gandhi and all.
US alwayws loves the rejection of Left & Right. The author may written this article to show his loyalty to US. But please dont forget when Russia was the Communist Country, they helped India out of the way in every respect.

its a myth that russia helped in india in every respect. Look at the current warship deal that is going on. Russians are asking for couple of more billion dollars for an old warship even after india has agreed to the original money of 2 billion dollars. The reality is that no one respects you unless u r a economic / military power in urself. If Japan were not an economic power no one would have respected it and similar saying goes for china and others too. Hope MMS & co after getting a much stable verdict will work towards development.
Indians have an inherent weakness for flattery. They would give anything to hear praises as 'largest democracy' 'Secular' 'Plural' nation with free press , free media, 'Independent judiciary'etc. Deep down they all know that its democracy is deeply flawed, Fake secularism (where they 'pretend 'to care for only one group of minority), Media which is privately owned but shamelessly biased( towards ruling elite) and a judiciary which is Phlegmatic to say the least. They suffer from many such ills but would like outsiders to recognise them as great. As the saying goes in Hindi' Bahar se Sherwani ,Andar se pareshani'

I agree with your " Fake secularism" I say it is a self certified, selfdeclared, "secularism" of many who does not have anything to talk. I do not believe the type of secularism they are talking.

Apart from what i said previously.
I want to protest such a pm being reelected, who openly flaunt his pro-musi character, who goes through sleepless night when a musi jehadi is caught abroad, while he gets sound sleep when innocent citizens are killed by same musi jehadis everyday in various part of this country and hndus are being driven away from their homes in certain parts of this country.
