the minorities want it. This is the plain truth. Hope this faith of the Hindus is not mis-interpreted as weakness and mis-used by the minorities.

Now since terrorist appeasing govt is at the center. I don't' know how many more lives are we going to loose. I hope everything goes well. MMS is very intelligent and I am sure he will try to make our nation very powerful economically but we need a person like Modi for security of Indian people.

I sincerely hope if we loose you atleast from this forum. Stop your Talibanized garbage.
BJP is a national party and it has to take the issue which matters to the future of people and not the dead issue of religion / caste, if it wants to challenge UPA

Soon.

Not that I want it - but people like Syed Jawahar who are gloating over this Muslim victory over Kaffirs in India ( in his own words ) will surely fix YOUR folks in the cross-hairs.

Dear Nitin

Can you explain who are the people of India ? Out of the 33% vote share Congress got - 25 % came from the minorities who always vote on the basis of religion.

Are you trying to say that only they count as the citizens ?

Fantastic Mockery of Indian Democracy!!!
by a g on May 18, 2009 07:04 PM  | Hide replies

Sitting at Newyork, it's most inappropriate for anybody to comment on the democracy (or can i call it the pseudo democracy) of India. India, inspite of having democratic and secular credentials abroad has been far from it in practice. How can you call Indian elections as a 'Fantastic Validation of Democracy' that too sitting in Newyork. This shows that either the author does not have the insight into the happenings in India or is a staunch supported of UPA which is reaping the benefits of this elections. While describing US as the 'oldest democracy' may be true, describing India as 'largest democracy' is anything but true. Infact, Indian democracy is being murdered every day by these parties who keep coming to power and manage to hold on to their positions and the results do not really reflect the true sentiments of the people or people or hoodwinked to believe that their party is for the betterment for the masses. Wish people both in and out of India had the insight to realize and believe that in the name of democracy and secularism, dynasty rule and divide & rule policies are being followed by these parties who are supposed to be saviours of democracy!!! God save India from these corrupt leaders and their parties!!!

did US have a role in rigging EVMs? it is so difficult to believe that India could throw up a result like this with no signs of anti incumbency even post 26/11, number of blasts all through 2008, high prices of food items. assuming that the middle class and richer class stayed away from voting how did the poor vote for a government where food prices have more than doubled in the last 1 year

Thanks for all Voters who voted without getting money
by bsk bsk on May 18, 2009 02:24 PM  | Hide replies

I thank for all voters for not voting 3rd front,4th front and regional parties for national election. But importance should be given to these parties for their state assembly election so that each state can see a growth.
But following shameful things are happening in democracy:
1. First of all, Chidambaram who was declared lost in his constituency in the election, was declared as winner after recounting. Mistakes can happen in manual counting, but how can it happen in EVM? then what is the purpose of having EVM?
2. In virudunagar, no of votes counted were more than number of votes polled, how can it happen?
3. Though Karunanidhi party has done some people welfare scheme,in this election his victory is purely because of money power, muscle power and misusing the govt.
My friends have got Free Color TV and 1000rs to 5000rs for each Vote. He has distributed all Free TVs during election time and won the election. Black day for democracy in TN.
I am not a supporter of any party but I can surely tell that DMK won because of distributing money. In most of the constituencies they have won less than 25000 votes. Only GOD can help TamilNadu.

It is not ppl of india mandate, it is vote for expoliatation of minorities & illeterate and poor ppl
Many educated middle did not vote are going to heavy price in future
puppet pm,president, election commissionerand congress beaure of investigation
UPA had devalued ind security force, judicial and education system to exploit minority votebank
perfect stage to setup jihadi prince R gandhi for next pm of islamic republic of IndiaCOngress will do anything and everythig for 29% minority votes.
In other 5 more yers of upa rule, india will be islamic rebuplic and jihadi R gandhi will be PM After some days there will be serial of blasts and innocent hinduw will be butchered to fabricated sotries to please minotiry vote bank
When your own ppl will be burnt alive in train, victims of bomb blast while doing shopping for festive season or doing prayer
or butchered by jihadie and kicked out of locality you will realise how dangerous is congress divide and rule under secular & minority tag
why minority hinuds in JK, assam, tripura, sikkim, nagaland did not get the same treatment as the minoirty muslim and xians get in rest of india
that congress dirty politics under secular tag

Many educated middle did not vote are going to heavy price in future

the new govt job priority increse haj subsidy, open borders to welcome jihadies and allow blast bomb and then torture innocent sadvi sadu sainik make a brand hindu terrorism
like kahsmire assm delhi islmicstate

You are talking about chidambaram while you forgot what Mr Advani g did in election against Rajesh Khanna in Delhi. Have some knowledge of old elections as well. Advani was declared a LOOSER in that election, but then the cribbing continued, and in recounting Advani ji was declared winner by some 200 or so votes.

Where were you then? Praising Advani ji, fight for justice :)

Muslim votebank is shifting back to Congress
by R on May 18, 2009 01:40 PM  | Hide replies

Consolidation of votes in name of religion is very divisive and blatant communalism. Mahesh Bhatt, Shahi Imam, muslim professors, SP, BSP, Left, Congress are playing this dirty communal game and has serious implications for the integrity of the country
Congress improved in UP because of tactical voting by Muslims. They voted for the candidate most likely to defeat BJP. Pseudo secularist persons like Mahesh Bhatt etc spent lot of time in UP in identifying such candidates/parties and then spreading this message to the Muslims. Muslims are spoilt with choice since all non-BJP parties are running after their votes, since they vote en-block. Congress used this with great results till 1980s. Then SP took over this minoritism. For the last few years, BSP is trying to take over Muslim vote bank. Due to this tactical voting, Maya is cribbing that Cong, SP has not allowed her to take over entirely the Muslim votebank.
There is a news report in Times of India today how Muslims voted en-block in Delhi in favor of Congress. Due to the en-block voting of Muslims, all parties are giving undue advantages to Muslims sometimes at cost of Hindus. This is dividing the country on communal lines. BJP is the only secular party since it is not favoring any religion including Hindus. At best, they can protect Hindus from loosing out due to undue favor to Muslims.

You can come up with 1000s of arguments against congress, but you have to accept the fact there is no other better option before the people. how can you tell BJP is secular when they supporting the hate speech of Varun?? working for Muslims uplift is not a crime, every weaker sections required such care.....Congress never worked for only Muslims or Hindus or any other caste/religion.... it thinks about all that, is y India choose them to lead the country. Hindus or anybody else will never loose anything because of this, it is a win win situation, need of the time!!!so think about your stand again and join with congress for a better INDIA
