Consolidation of votes in name of religion is very divisive and blatant communalism. Mahesh Bhatt, Shahi Imam, muslim professors, SP, BSP, Left, Congress are playing this dirty communal game and has serious implications for the integrity of the country Congress improved in UP because of tactical voting by Muslims. They voted for the candidate most likely to defeat BJP. Pseudo secularist persons like Mahesh Bhatt etc spent lot of time in UP in identifying such candidates/parties and then spreading this message to the Muslims. Muslims are spoilt with choice since all non-BJP parties are running after their votes, since they vote en-block. Congress used this with great results till 1980s. Then SP took over this minoritism. For the last few years, BSP is trying to take over Muslim vote bank. Due to this tactical voting, Maya is cribbing that Cong, SP has not allowed her to take over entirely the Muslim votebank. There is a news report in Times of India today how Muslims voted en-block in Delhi in favor of Congress. Due to the en-block voting of Muslims, all parties are giving undue advantages to Muslims sometimes at cost of Hindus. This is dividing the country on communal lines. BJP is the only secular party since it is not favoring any religion including Hindus. At best, they can protect Hindus from loosing out due to undue favor to Muslims.

you can come up with 1000s of arguments against congress, but you have to accept the fact there is no other better option before the people. how can you tell BJP is secular when they supporting the hate speech of Varun?? working for Muslims uplift is not a crime, every weaker sections required such care.....Congress never worked for only Muslims or Hindus or any other caste/religion.... it thinks about all that, is y India choose them to lead the country. so think about your stand again and join with congress for a better INDIA.

WHO had Created a Need to form the BJP Party. It's a Unsecular Policy of Congress Long time Back. And the Need of Time had forced to BORN of BJP. HOW any Hindu Minded Party be remain silent , If they see their Poor Hindus are Converted to change their Idology. The message from Khaled is the answer to the election result. When 16 crores of a particular religion spit venom against BJP where is the question of winning. To win India you need to be Psuedo-secular party since this religion who are communal votes enmasse to the one protecting their religion's interest and not the national interest. The majority religion is secular leading to split in votes. Whether educated or uneducated the minority religion votes only on religious lines...

First of all let me make it clear am I a Safron Brigade guy, Though I do vote for the BJP.I am also not a leftist.But I am extremely anti- Congress. I am only talking about Congress here. How can there be so called secularism when one community is supposed to get first claim to resources. There is going to be reservation in the private sector based on communities. Again why should only one dynasty rule the country time and again and why cant everything be be on merit and merit alone.And how do u expect and Italian who has links with an international criminal Quatrochi and helped in the Boffors scam to be faithful to India. As we are all Indians what is good for me is also good for u so it does not make a difference. I am unhappy that Congress has won.

Dear Bhaskar, you can come up with 1000s of arguments against congress, but you have to accept the fact there is no other better option before the people. reservation and other moves are required just for political games, if congress didn't offer that, somebody else will do. y BJP didn't do anything against reservation when they are in power, why there election manifesto was silent on this issue?? simple fact is they cannot do anything...no body can... one good thing Maya did to the Indian politic is she come up with an offer of upper class reservation...if maya tells that nobody will object, but BJP cannot tell that...this kind of limitations are there for all the parties, but the ultimate fact is which party can lead India to a better future... as of now only Congress is the answer and India did it in a better way by avoiding left. The present team of Congress is the best and somebody can trust. they proved there ability in the previous 5 years. more than that, you need not worry about reservations much... if there is industrial growth, there will be place for all. we still dont know the truth behind Boffors scam... but believe me, even it is true, it will only help India now because the next gen in congress will be more careful and they will try to keep there hands clean. there is no meaning in keep punishing a party for that. That is y there is no Scams in the previous 5 years....so think about your stand again and join with congress for a better INDIA.

Ndeal was the biggest scam (like Bofors of Rajeev Gandhi times) which they tried to cover thru cash-for-vote scam. But since the media and most of the parties were part of it it just got swept under carpet.

No, uniform civil law may be desirable, but necessary for secularism or national integration. Please note we are talking of civil code or personal laws. Different religions can have different civil code. How does that affect others? You are free to follow your own civil code. Someone following his own civil code does not affect other's life or liberty. Why, even in US different states have different laws with regard to things like gay marriage. No one says that affects unity within US.

Arungopal Agarwal, Please note that in India 99% of muslims vote on communal lines - First preference for a muslim, second preference for a muslim supported party (Mulayam or Paswan), Third preference for Psuedo secular (Congress). Whereas the Hindus in India are very secular in voting and dont bother about the religion when casting the vote. The result is that Congress gets all votes - From communal muslims & secular Hindus whereas BJP gets only a part of the Hindu votes. This is the biggest difference in this Election apart from Left parties biting the dust. I hope you understand. The fact also remains that Muslims talk about secularism till they are minorities. How come there is no secularism in Muslim populated countries ??? There, the minorities have to follow the islamic structure of the country and cannot raise their head. Only in India, we give more preference to the minorities.
The best outcomes of this elections were that people whole heartedly rejected all criminal based candidates, put the left in its proper place & showed the saffron brigade where they actually belong. Now I hope the people in power get some good reforms, young cabinet with fresh ideas supported by a healthy dose of experience, respect the mandate & put forth a cabinet which is responsible & not bow down to the greedy regional parties.
Congress has been acting like comunist with all the money they are throwing in the name of social walfare. All the scheme for political gain has to stop. It will cost the nation dearly. Socialist policy are useless, all the money goes to corrupt people. Poor remains poor. Thats why communist ideas were wiped off from the world. Congress needs to focus on provinding job skills to masses, and build massive infrastsuctures. this 2 will make sure of business offices/shops grwoing and millions of jobs will be created for indians. India will run with jet speed on the economic path.
