She says "we are for a "change in governance"- when was there any such thing as "governance" anywhere in this fetid land? Even at the federal level, the very concept of "governance" is anathema. And it gets worse- at the state and local levels, "governance" is something totally alien- just doesn't exist. Maybe power-crazed Mamata is not as corrupt as say, Mayawati or the rest of Netadom, but she will be even worse for poor Bengal- her childish tantrums and megalomania will ensure that Bengal remains an under-developed, un-industrialized backwater. The Singur and Nandigram episodes are stark reminders of her penchant for self-aggrandizing politicking.
I was an impressionable university Graduate professional in 1971! I was a teenager in 1964, and went through my impressionable years reading the propaganda magazine from the soviet union, and revelling in the attractive photographs and glossy printed pages singing paeans to the commie regime! I agree to a point about the commies. But I's rather prefer the "superiority complex" of the Bengalis than the unchanging casteist and communal "cow belt". Things will never change there. Bengalis at least change their regime in 32 years. But those in the "cow belt" will not change in 100 years. And the less said about the Tamilian who has only the "choice" of leaders like Jayalalitha and Karunanidhi...I pity them. I don't see the point how electing those m0rons make Tamil people any more wiser.

The main motto of north Indians is to demolish all regional parties and then establish their own dominance by their north run parties into that particular state. Likewise, they plan to rule and run monopoly in business and administrative sectors, all over the country. If Left or other parties were not there then Bengalees would have been extinct by the time. Try to figure out what they did with prabashee Bengalees, who are already extict nowadays. Indians have withhold them from each and every sectors of the society for 50 years. Nehru had over poured others with his anti Bengalee venom and made them victims of their anguish against Bengal.

These north Indians are not only attacking us in our own country, even, I have many such reports in my hanging office where victims have mentioned that they have been torturing on our brothers in north America and Europe too. They are spreading hatred, nuisance and doing a lot of wrong propagandas to all foreign nationals against Bnegalees since long. We should protect them fro doing so. Yes India is a divided country and we do like each others, north indians do not like south indians, south indians do not like north indians, gujaratis hate bengalis, marathis hate the biharis and NE people and so forth. Considering so much of division, I often wonder how the country is still holding together. Parhaps we are together because we know we cannot afford to be separate.

Well said, but you can ignore this crazy biltu. He is insane. Basically everybody is living in India with their false pride attached to some personal identity. India need lot more education from our neighbours!
Both Capitalism & Communism hv strenghts & weaknesses. China has combined good parts of both systems. With Communism, it has been able to reduce its population growth (with single child norm since 1979), which is 0.6%, compared to world avg of 1.2% and of India's 1.6%. Earlier it had solved its language problem by having one language for the whole country, though it also had many languages and difficult scripts. No Chinese feels inferiour of not knowing English. InIndia anyone without knowledge of English is a second class citizen. It also developed its infrastructure very well, unlike India.
It opened up itself in industry to capitalistic system in 80's, to introduce competitiveness. Though most of their big industries r in Govt sector even now. Though there is some corruption, but if anyone is caught, he is given exemplary punishment, unlike India, where majority of our MPs r highly corrupt and there r many criminals amongst them.
Singur & Nandigram incidents hv brought downfall of the Left. It seems that due to long continuous unbroken rule of 32 yrs hv made them forget that common man is more important than anything else. Some Left members hv become very greedy and made lot of money. These people r communists only in name and r with Left, only bcz it is ruling WB.
It is good that Left looses now, which will make them sit and evaluate their mistakes seriously.
