why communist have been made reduntant in the world
by sumit ghosal on May 14, 2009 03:00 PM

leftist dreams have always been mirages as most of them do not take into account human greed. They dream and dream into stupor.Result is stagnation with wholesome failure of health, transportation, environment and water degradation.People in general would be influenced by negative mob culture.People would form union not to save them from exploitation but to give shabby service at high price and get away.SO, damn the communists and leftist..They are just fullstop.

Difficult to choose for Bengal
by joydip bhattacharya on May 12, 2009 04:46 PM

No one questions CPM Partys leaders ability or integrity.... but the problem is they don't want to change and adopt as per the states
requirement.Everyone Knows Budhadeb Bhattacharya is far far better then Mamata as a leader , as an CM or as an administrator..

But he and his party has to put all their efforts for development , and come out of this caders..they spent more time for party and spent less time for State development.

3rd front will form government with outside support from congress
by da dude on May 12, 2009 03:43 PM

This is the most likely possibility. Congress has to support 3rd front parties as this is payback time.

vote for 3rd front parties
by da dude on May 12, 2009 03:36 PM  | Hide replies

Make no mistake 3rd front parties will win the election, as people are fed up with congress and bjp. An alternative form of govt is the need. Remember 3rd front is not left parties only. Its a alliance of like minded secular parties. So vote for 3rd front parties.

vote@bengal
by Anirban Das on May 12, 2009 12:53 PM

Friends…do a constructive discussion...do not get it personally…political parties gets the advantage when we divide ourselves by cast, religion or community.

In my opinion, though left parties tried to do good work at early stages in late seventies, but now they ( read CPIM) have become too greedy & adamant to respect other parties or people interest in bengal. They only play the tricks how to retain in powering bengal . They know well how to convince people using good words of communism. Now we all can see how bengal is lagging behind with respect to growth rate of other states in india compared to post independence days. All the time, left parties criticize central govt or opposition.

The Bengal unquestionably needs a change but the worry is that if the opposition (TMC Congress) will really work together forgetting party politics for the sake of Bengal.

Recently, we have seen how well regarded dignitaries of bengal protested in their way seeking a change in bengal.

Huge spending is boon
by abboral boral on May 12, 2009 12:41 PM

Spending of money is vital in this recession market .It is good to se heavy spending happened in this recession market .I am not saying that there should be election everytime but my point is who ever comes to power must spend on
1.Rural Infra --30% of total allocation on infra
2. Roads and housing 40% of total budget

3.Rural health--10% of total health budget

4. SMEs in rural India --loan by Banks at 2 % interest

High spending on above sector only will create demands and demands will create more supply ,services .I can say this election spending at least created demands for Ad agencies, paper ,consumer durables ,telephone, auto ,steel ,increasing earning of rural populations
