This article is a headline catching mixed up confused bag.The Sriperumbudur area has really developed.Workers in Nokia come from as far away as Kancheepuram.A whole new crop of youth have got jobs instead of being unemployed in farms.Nokia was got by Jaya when she was in power.So also Flextronics.This laid the foundation for this belt to become the electronic manufacturing centre of India.The author blithely ignore this.And introduces this argument needlessly.In fact the area wants more of this as transport services,restaurants all have grown.Such ridiculuous arguments shd be avoided. On the other hand this election will be fought on purely alliance arithmetic-one set of goons against another.Perhaps the Tamil issue may swing a % or two.But that is it.T.R.Balu knows that his awful record does not matter.He has messed up the Highways Programme big time.But all this will be lost in the alliance arithmetic.

People always complain. Journalists also make use of them. They need stories and headlines.
Tamilnadu deserve what they get because they voted two sets of goons all the time.
If India is saddled with sad and pathetic politicians, there is no one to blame but the so called poor people in this country. they are more obsessed with free few kgs of rice, or a tv set, or free haircuts, but do not want politicians to implement policies that will take the country forward. What will open the eyes of the so called poor people in this country to stop being vote banks, and stop breeding like insects. As it is rightfullly sais that 'you must be the change you want to see in the world'. About how our politicians need to be treated, i would like a national policy of beating every one of them with a battered chappal. That is all the respect they deserve..All over India, and from all the parties.
If India has free access to fire weapons, would you think that will make these poor people life any better as that would mean the politicians and goonda life in danger...If chinese weapons are imported in large quantities, would it help? After all, a politician life is equal to the commoner life and fire arms don't distinguish between them...The politicians need to do something quicker, otherwise I foresee a big social unrest in India sooner where all the unpopular politicians instead of getting slapped may get killed/assassinated...Fear for life alone may keep the goondas and rogue people from entering politics arena and becoming public enemies...and would make them do good things to people. Ahimsa gave us freedom from Britishers but for Indian politicians I guess Himsa alone can work...as that has been proved from time immemorial by Ram, Krishna and Arjuna...in all over India's history...

you mean filthy rich? Indian are the second richest in America after Jews.
Indians in India are rich by heart not by money. They have the great culture and heritage.
When there is a war raging in Paki land, and a refugee situation is building up , every Indian politicians should be concerned and take appropriate measures to prevent the human mass spilling into India.
Every new agency carries the news. Except this stupid portal.
Looks like Indians and their chamchas in rediff are content talking about PM's turban, Rahul's diaper and other useless things ...

classic ! This portal started as a nationalistic one. After India abroad bought this this became a Gandi samachar.
