Tamil Nadu - Pathetic Situation
by Ganesh Babu on May 10, 2009 09:10 PM

For once, Rediff has published reality...keep it up...I had even blogged the same thing...General Public are fed up with their daily lives...where is the time to sympathise with Sri Lankan Tamils...why not these very same parties protest on the streets and call for a bundh every month against the rampant corruption prevailing in Tamil Nadu...they wont, because they are all part of the corruption ring.

Rediff should publish an article on Corruption in Tamil Nadu. For a sample I can list out the following:
1. Bribes demanded to Approve a Building Plan - designed by reputed architects notwithstanding
2. Bribes demanded to sanction an Electricity Connection - and converting a Single Phase to 3 Phase
3. Swindling of money in Roads, Bridges and other Civil Contracts
4. Corruption in RTO
5. Bribes demanded to sanction Water and Sewage Connection.
6. There is no underground sewage system in the so called prestigious Chennai South Constituency - represented for ages by T R Baalu and other reputed candidates. The present DMK candidate R S Bharathi has been Panchayat Chairmain for eons...without drainage in his Alandur municipality.

The list goes on...

Indian politicians are a disgrace
by Raj rai on May 10, 2009 06:35 PM  | Hide replies

Politicians are a disgraced lot ,well said and fortunately every Indians knows this but still votes for such uncooth parasites.
There is not a single leader who can justify the word Leader. All of them are corrupt, greedy and basically thieves.
By winning the elections they get a certificate to loot the honest taxpayers wealth and health both and they plunder these with both hands.
Look at laoo family ,BSP superemo,Congress leadership and Gandhi clan,BJP buisness houses old junk Advani, there is not a single one who is not involved in plundering the wealth of the country. Their families are automatically elected and their families think its their birthright to loot and pile up the booty in their bank accounts and enjoy the best things in life, even if the Indian public suffers in villages in govt offices.
Its a sorry state of affairs and unfortunately I feel its a curse to be ruled by Indian parliamentarians.

by Ram Sharma on May 10, 2009 06:29 PM

Why only film personalities r elected in TN? DMK & AIDMK all hv or had lot of film personalities. Despite the fact that both parties r highly corrupted, people elect these two parties only replacing one by the other every 5 yrs.

Question of MDMK is farce
by sivasubramanian on May 10, 2009 04:04 PM  | Hide replies

In TN many confused youth are there, paricularly in SC and OBC,these youth don't have any good idea or not having any interest except Drinks/Sex/and abuse,
They should change all will talk vexed,
No country is developing all has chance, only thing is they have work double hard than the any youth from a well to do family. So MDMK is not a solution they have look for BJP,
Why i mention about BJP is in TN both are corrupt,Cong known for international fraud and corruption,
BJP has some honest people and so can bring good to all tamil community,
ow TN's urgent need is a patriotic leaders,That you can get only from BJP,
Be a hindu and don't harm minorities also take them along with you,
Don't be under their influence to get converted is my policy,I am not against Minorites but i am not afraid i would be labelled as Communal,I am not that if any body does that is their problems.

The problem is that section of people in no position to beleive in BJP in the aftermath of Gujarat riots 2002. Some criminals burn a train and the entire community was attacked. The worst thing is that BJP try to justify it saying it as reaction of people, will BJP accept the 1984 riots is a reaction for Indira's assasination.

while talking about evils like corruption, family politics and communalism is the worst which is like brain tumour.

that is what , people don't have any knowledge about anything , even those people who claim to be educated are actually only literate , nobody knows the real reason behind the riots emanated due to congress party for past 60 years , and whatever happened in godhra ,it was natural and why the blame goes to bjp or hindu when it was initiated by Muslim goons or on parole who knows? congress is the culprit and still those villagers who r illiterate vote them and idiots in cities vote them. Until people dont start thinking rationally and accumulating knowledge , no country can prosper.

U speak about the riots of 2002 as THE Gujarat riots..and I speak of 1985 and 1987 farmer riots as THE Gujarat riots, after all what were their demands, and what did they get ? unarmed peasants attacked by police...under teh congress govt. Cong has made it their art to shout loudly about 2002 so that their shortcomings and sins are covered up in the din !

I awnt to see Anbumani or Ramdoss as the cheif minister of TN
by sivasubramanian on May 10, 2009 03:48 PM

Now to bring tamil major caste people in the position of CM,only Dr.Anbumani and Ramdoss seems to be most suitable,
From south tamilnadu major caste people Thevers/Mukkulathor are ununited and and fighting amoung themswelves and with Harjan.
So now immediate possible is Dr>Anbu mani and Ramdoss,
They are very good and more accommmodative and sensible. All BC/OBC/SC/ST should work to bring these two in CM chair.Certainly they will not be like DMK family,Who started thinking they are above other OBC/BC and are equivalent to kings family.

Why rely on polticians..
by bihari babu on May 09, 2009 12:00 PM  | Hide replies

Who asked to you to give so much importance to poltician? More we run after them, more we give them our attention more powerful they become. Best way is igonore them. Let them die slowly. Instead we focus on business leaders who open and run shops, offices and creat jobs and income for local people. We should focus on those workers who work hard make our roads, footpath, school and managers who run them effiently.
Only when we have changed our attitude like this then slowly we can also grow like rich nations otherwise poltician will keep ruling us for 100 years.
