What rubbish
by kumar on Apr 14, 2009 12:31 PM  | Hide replies

I am a sri lankan tamil and 80% of tamils here are hindu. LTTE is not a christian organization. Prabakaran is hindu and so is his son. his son has a christian name because he is named after another freedom fighter who died. Just like Karunanidhi's son's name is stalin....it doesnt make him christian.

However, when food is denied to my people, westerners have stepped up to feed us. Hindus dont feed us because the only hindu country, ie India, watches while we get killed. Dont call us christian just because christians are willing to help us with food, etc. If India had helped, then we wont need aid from the westerners.

When our ancient temples get destroyed here, India has no voice to help us. India is happy whenever our temples get destroyed.

the article is full of such untruths and blatant lies. For example he says all of USA has uniform civil laws. Not true. different states have different laws on Gay marriage, abortion, capital Punishment and so on. I can poke holes in every statement of his. Wonder why Rediff publishes such sub-standard columnists!

kumar I am really sad by your plight and ur fellow tamils in srilanka... we in this democratically elected world here are ruled by dynasties like gandhi families who for years have denied justice to many and are really living good life here at the cost of we tax payers..... if u notice congress has made life difficult for tamils there right from the intervention from rajiv gandhis time when he sent ipkf to srilanka at indian people expences and till now congress has this step motherly attitude towards tamils and they never get cotes form tamils.... in other words congress is greedy fo power and will do anything to get power may it be genocide of sikhs of tamils.....

I have attended the Paan IIT meeting in Dec 2005 where, Shashi Tharoor was a speaker.

His written speach was full of anti hindu stand and one of my friends had told then that " this guy is preparing for congress ticket" and now it is proven that he was very right,

do want want Bhagat Singh to be described as
by sunil p on Apr 14, 2009 12:26 PM  | Hide replies

Rajeev,

I also came across following from another mail. Wake up and act before it is too late. vote for change at the national level.

Bhagat Singh was described as "terrorist" in UPSC examination.

Strangely, the UPA Government has filed an Affidavit in the Supreme Court stating that the fatwas of Maulvis do not interfere in the normal functioning of our laws. And strangely, even our Courts bend over backwards in this sinister design!

For example - 12 MLAs in the Kerala Assembly took Oath in the name of Allah. A man filed a PIL in the Kerala High Court saying that taking Oath in the name of Allah is unconstitutional. The Kerala High Court overruled the objection. He again went to the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court too held that taking Oath in the name of Allah is similar to taking Oath in the name of God, i.e. Allah and God are the same. Now, many Mullahs and Maulvis have declared that they do not recognise 'God' and it is only Allah for them.

Then, as if to sprinkle salt on the wounds of Indians (read Hindus) recovering from the shock of Mumbai massacre, the India’s Minister of State for External Affairs E. Ahmed, a fundamentalist Islamist and the President of Indian Union Muslim League, had the temerity to force India’s Consul General Prabhu Dayal in New York to celebrate the Eid festivity at the Consulate within weeks of the terrible carnage.
