It is not prejudice or ignorance on Rajeev's part. May be perhaps on yours.
Christ is not same as Christians, nor is Bible same as Christ or Christians.
No God perpetuates hatred. But followers can.
So, perhaps your interpretation of article has a prejudice where you consider that every Christian is an equal and abiding follower, which considering human nature is among the most unlikely to be truth.
Re-read without prejudice and article may start to make sense to you.

Most of the article is an Indirect praising of self .I can tell you what is your dilemma .You are a Pro BJP and probably an upper cast but also want to see Shashi tharoor wins may be due to similar caste feeling or personal grounds as you said .If Tharoor had been an BJP candidate then you would not be having such a dilemma .Good that Tharoor choose congress I also support him .It because he may have experience in such fields where a common Mallu cant even think about .We need people out of well (Kerala) to understand Kerala through a third eye. What makes you say that mallus have not made it in life... successive high post close to the PMO was run by a mallu and many a times screwed it up as well. And shed the anti-BJP thing... be a little more positve.
The person Rajeev Srinivasan who claims to be an intellectual is very much pro -vhp and that is his problem with Shasi and of course with congress.
The theft in a temple done some local thieves was reported in the Malayala Monorama in the front page as the top headline. The Hindu newspaper also reported it.
So Rajeev Srinivasan is blatantly lying just to corner some Hindu sentiments.
How come a theft in temple becomes communal?????
If the thieves are found out to be non-Hindus, then people like Rajeev Srinivasan will shout at the top of the voice it was ISI / pak / Vatican behind it. That is their culture!!!!!!!

Also Mr Rajeev don’t put communal breed at least in Kerala .Kerala has known for its secular image .Here we don’t fight in the name of religion. We may have differences in the on caste basis but not in religion basis .Even though I am a Hindu I still Christanity in kerla is the one which has opened door to education .And Muslims ,they are the Business Community of Kerala and they opened doors for GUlF as Hindus we should be thankful to these two religions .What ever may happen out side Kerala Whether in Sri Lanka ,Palestine or Kashmir That is not our problem .And Please dont try to impart your world knowledge to the common man on the road Its disgusting .

Brother, Sorry to tell that you know nothing and like other political leaders you see only bad things in others. Please do not forget every party had an oppurtunity to form government in the past years. Still everyone is fighting poverty. My personal opinion congress is one the right party who can take India forward.

I think you see more bad/sin in others, it applies more to you. Congress certainly has been taking India forward for decades and it always keeps scope to take India further forward. Congress is like those old time Jamindars who just suck others keep them rotting, so that they can rule them.

Johncy john, In my opinion now there is only fake congress and Gandhi's available. congress dead in 1947. After that it was Nehru & family pvt. Ltd.Now it is sonia & Co. They are least bothered about poor people or India. They want only to continue their dynastic rule by hook and or by crook.
Rediff of late seems to have lost it's very identity, or Rajeev Srinivasan has acquired a majority stake in Rediff. It's surprising Rediff lets someone like Rajeev vent his personal feelings about another person in his columns.Rajeev's exact problem with Shashi is that he's contesting on a Congress ticket;and not a BJP one.From Shashi's candidature as is always the case with Rajeev,he brings in his rabid right wing agenda.Having lived in America for sometime now,I can say this with conviction.The American government is least bothered who runs colleges.To the American Government, religion and politics are distinctly different entities, and so is it to the American citizen.No wonder,Good Friday is not a holiday in America.I've also wondered where all this conversion Rajeev keeps barking about is taking Christianity in India.For eons India's Christian population has been less than 2%.Well, about the rail and road work in Kerala,Rajeev possibly does not know the Golden Quadrilateral project totally avoided Kerala because no Keralite would sacrifice an inch of his land for the Road project.Why blame everyone else for the Keralite's attitude?And, who is preventing Hindus from starting and running colleges may I ask?You only have to drive from Cochin to Bangalore to see the dozens of colleges on either side of the highway in tamilnadu.All of them have names like Vinayaga,Maharaja and so on.I do not know if Vinayaga sounds Christian to Rajeev.Rediff,please.....

Yup, Christianity in India is less then 2%, just as it used to be in Australia, Canada, USA, Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, Bolivia, Colombia, Nigeria, South Africa....and many other places, yes it only USED to be 2%.

What rajeev is said is correct and paints shashi a hypocrete. The senior member of the UN has all the information that he needs to see the facts on the kashmiri refugees and the hindus in pak and bangaldesh, but still chooses to ignore the facts as he wants to say the right (read anti hindu) statements as pe rthe congress who has given him a ticket. I say no amount of higher education then seems to be enough to have a morally correct person fit enough for elections.
To say that christian run terrorist organisation is LTTE which is kiiling Hindus is totally false statement. It is a tamilian movement and tamilians hardly care about their religion when it comes to their identity. Now LTTE is actually on the back foot, thousands of tamilians are being killed, due to the wrong doing of LTTE, but we should not distort facts.
Rajeev, Thanks and please keep hammering the point across repeatedly, because lot of Indians have very thick skull even in this day and age. Its either outright hatred for Hindus or the slave colonial mindset does not allow these Indians to see bigger picture.
