Rediff Writers need sto go back to school
by Rakesh Tiwari on Mar 18, 2005 10:39 PM

I have been reading rediff article, while some of them are good many others are really an insult to writing.

Take the articles written during the invasion of iraq. Then the scandals they "uncover".

Their writing style is poor than a first grader writing. And beleive me I am no writer but have worked for quite a few years in publication both web publication and print media.

In the current article, there is no relation between the heading and the content. The conlusion of the article feels very personal, which any writer should avoid. If it was a blog I would accept but not an article.

I am a bihari only by root( my parents are from bihar) I was born in a church in bihar cause my village didnt have any hospotals. Today I cant say I am a bihari, cause I dont live in bihar, havent seen much or bihar either. But the people who live in bihar, I think they are proud to be called a bihari by large.

Being a BIHARI is still a pride
by Abhishek on Feb 14, 2005 10:25 PM  | Hide replies

I really want to state that i am a bihari and a proud one to be precise. Just because you recieved a particular mail that telling a person bihari is derogatory doesnt make it the whole state bad. Bihar will rise one day and it needs all the help from politicians and media. If you guys keep playing with it, making jokes on it then how can it come up. Please help the people of bihar by removing the root of all the jokes Laloo Prasad Yadav.

Hello Mr Abhishek

I was so touched to read your and also similar mails. In fact i am happy for you all. Its true why judge the people becoz of a bad person. I have a best from Bihar and i am so proud to tell everyone about it. I have felt people giving side smile when i say about my pal. But for me all matters is the person.

Keep it up.

Every setting Sun will rise with bright rays next days. i think people who mock have forgotten this.

regards
shruthi

I totally disagrre with the author's view that Bihar's people hates being called as Bihari. I am a Bihari and work in a financial institution in Kerala. i never felt bad if people called me Bihari. I am proud of being a Bihari. Seeing me the people around me changed their view about the wrong perception created by some people that Biharis are very bad. You will not find persons from any other part of India who mingles with all the culture but Biharis.
