THERE IS A VERY CLEAR MESSAGE THAT SACHIN IS NOT AT PAR WITH VIRAT TO COMPARE. VIRAT IS LIKE A KITE IN THE SKY WHICH CUTS ALL OTHER KITES IN THE SKY AND GLOWS ONLY ONE OF ITS OWN TYPE. PL DO NOT COMPARE THE TWO. SACHIN IS ONLY THE BLESSING OF RAHUL GANDHI.
Friends comparing Virat with Sachin, for them I have some hard facts. 1. When Tendulkar played, from his early days, boundaries were at 70-85 m distance. In Adelaide the long boundary used to be 105 m. Kohli plays in an era where the boundaries are at distance of 55 to 70 m, maximum 75 m but that too rarely. 2. Tendulkar in his career batted against bowlers like, Wasim, Waqar, Shoaib, Donald, Shaun Pollock, Klusener, Curtley Ambrose, Courtney Walsh, Patterson, Glenn McGrath, Jason Gillespie, Dale Styn, Muralitharan, Shane Warne, etc. all in their prime form. Look at the players whom Kohli is facing and where they stand compared to the legends mentioned above. 3. Tendulkar used to play in hard bouncy green wickets of Durban, Brisbane, Perth and Wellington. Whereas, with India calling the shots at ICC post Srinivasan, these pitches will never be made anywhere in the world when India is playing. 4. Finally the bats with which Tendulkar played (for that matter all batsman of his era and earlier) are no match for the bats with which present generation players, play. So comparing to players of different era is utter foolishness.

Guha do not compare sachin with bradman. The latter played in an era when apart from abdominal guards there were no other protective guards. In those days pitch was not covered had grass on the top, aiding fast bowlers. Sachin looked more like an astronaut with helmet, elbow guards, thigh pads, leg pads, batting gloves, rib cage guards, abdominal guards, chest pads etc. He was so scared of an injury that he had all these on,due to which becoming heavy he sacrifced many short runs. What would have been his approach in the Bodyline series is a big ?.

thats right...fast n bouncy wickets of 90s..wasim akram, alan donald, curtley ambrose, shane warne, shaun pollock, chaminda vaas...it was different game back then...it was test of patience, skills n character...now its more of quick entertainment...a fast bouncer up ur chin, a good length ball sharply cutting in or out, a swinging yorker into ur legs or dangerous turn of warne n murali..how kohli can stand this?

Question is not bats and boundaries and pitches. Question is of temprament. Kohli single handedly wins matches for India under pressure against tough teams. Tendulkar very rarely did that against tough teams all through his career .
an egotistical mind needs an ordered list of players, a person with high self-esteem sees and appreciates the uniqueness of the individuals...
tendulkar came in a different arena, faced different pressures and battles right from start and became a different person. virat came in a different era and is a different player.
(Under the umbrella of Tendulkar, many indian players have flowered and so appreciate that!)
As far as playing for the team is concerned when the chips are down, there is none in the World cricket of recent times who comes any where near Virat Kohli.
