I can understand why most of the GUJRATHI people hate Sachin Tendulkar to the core.
Because Sachin Tendulkar is from Mumbai & is Maharashtrian & Gujrathi people HATE Maharashtrians a lot.
Though, Gujrathi people are in large numbers in Mumbai from decades & have prominent businesses in Mumbai & Maharashtra, their hatred & dislike for Maharashtrians is always evident from their attitude & arrogance.
Also, Sachin Tendulkar's wife is Anjali Mehta who is a Gujrathi. which makes the matter even worse for them & give them one more stronger reason to hate him, as they simply can't digest the fact that he had married a Gujrathi woman.

friend it is not the matter of Gujarati and Maharashtrian....but it is very clear that Virat is far better than sachin. sachin has played cricket only for his career and not for the country which you can observes from statistics. sachin has never take responsibility like virat konhli and in the most of matches india lost match when sachin has made century.....and It is for your kind information they both are indian not maharashtirian or gujarati.....regarding Anjali Mehta..she is an independent lady of independent india we need not to interfere in her decision. there are many maharashtrian lady who has got married with gujarati..

So has faced Javagal Srinath.. Virat is 100 times better than selfishkar who only plays for records, not for the country.. Most of his centuries came against bolivia, spain, kenya, BD or countries like this..Do you know out his 50 ODI centuries only 3 came against a major team outside Asia? Only 3??? His records against England and SA is very dismal in their countries.. Please don't compare sachin and virat. May be sachin and Aswhin is fine..
Virat is the better player than Sachin. Virat dares any player with his iron fist. It is beginning for him and he can go long way with more success stories than Sachin's. For, sachin had many failures than successes; but the drum beating of his success story did subdue his failures as hero worship has raised him to too much of pompom! Sachin was gien enough opportunities that no other player was given even after failures at regular interval. If Kohli makes his way without heaviness in head, he is likely to move ahead for sure! All the best to Kohli.
1) During Sunil Gavaskar's Career - He had to play Furious Pace bowlers of West Indies, Pakistan, England & Australians on Uncovered wickets with less of Protective gear. It was more of (Text Book Orthodox) Technique, Application, Temperment, Patience & Perseverance, Getting close to the pitch of the ball etc etc.
In those times, they could hardly even Save Test matches as a Draw !!! Conditions were heavily in Favour of Bowlers at that time.
In that era, so many cricketers suffered grevious injuries due to lack of Technique as well as protection (Famous Bodyline Series). The Wickets were Fast, Pacy & Bouncy and also had Swing with Lateral movement (Now rarely seen even in abroad).
2) In Sachin's Period - There were Bowlers with Illegal Bowling actions, Ball Tampering (Also done by Sachin himself against South Africa when he Lifted the Seam of the ball), Doctored wickets, Bookies, Match Fixers, Drawn matches, Sledgeing by opposition players, Tension & Pressure of a Highly Expectant Indian public, Media glare and scrutiny, constant criticism, Security problems, Indo Pak tensions & wars, Matches in Sharjah vs Pakistan which India lost more often to Pakistan etc etc.
Most International Teams were way ahead of Indian team and we were Languishing below in number 5 or 6 in the ICC rankings. BCCI was not so rich & famous like now, India used to Lose consistently away from home (Tigers at Home, Lambs abroad).

And India used to sn_at_ch Defeat from the Jaws of Victory we were ch0_king like South Africa at that time.
In Sachin's era the Indian Fans were Voca1, Emotiona1, Ba_rb_ar_ic at times and used to Vanda1ize Sta_dia and Pub1ic property whenever India lost Big matches.
So Sachin had to play with a M0un_tain of Expectations of a 100 Crore Indians on his head and he also had his ups and downs.
Yes, he did Break some Records much to the Di_sm_ay of The Cricketing World in general. It is Still Pa_in_ing for them.
3) Virat Kohli no doubts has Merit and Talent but he had a much more Organized Indian Team when he arrived in terms of Coaching, Nurtu_ring talent, giving support, a Rich BCCI, Lots of coaches, Support Staff, Playing facilities are better now, Better Physical Fitness standards, a Captain like MSD who is Br0ad minded, would back him and give him freedom to play as per his will.
Virat Kohli does not seem to Buck1e under pressure, he knows how to handle it. But most of Virat's Records are in ODI's & T20's including IPL - I would myself like to compare Virat vs Sachin after Virat Kohli hangs up his b00ts.
All Foreign Nations except India consider Test Cricket to be the Ultimate format to Judge a Cricketer's Performace & Class !! For the Indians though we are Heavi_1y Re1iant & Dependant on IPL & T20 for our live_lih00d in cricket.
Only after Sachin went past Sunil M Gavaskar & Sir Donald Bradman's Records in Tests did he become a Great cricketer.

generation gap is always there as yuvraj singh is also there to get boost so not only virat kohli yuvraj singh another Punjab da puttar is match winner so also suresh raina msd ashwin harbhajan every member of team is in fact match winner so I condelm media for such biased news to discourage all others
