Dhoni- The superstar
by Ramesh Ramakrishnan on Dec 30, 2014 03:38 PM  | Hide replies

Sometime again not so long ago- He said- " Its very easy to quit.. I would like to see this young team through till such time I feel they are ready to be on their own" He felt this was the time- Again sometime back and not so long back he said-" I might have to quite one of the formats else the body will take its toll- It was obvious which one he will give up- Now was the time- All of you dhoni haters- You will not get another captain cool in Indian cricket for a long long time- All the very best to Kohli- Dhoni Bring back the cup- fitting tribute to a great captain

In the middle of a series? And you believe it? Something is very wrong in the team despite all denials.

What's wrong in it? Its better to give up when its not possible to carry on rather than clinging to it.. He also must have been inspired by Kohli as Captain and his contribution as batsman during first test... its OK..

Dhoni selfish...he just wanted to save his face...on more lose and he would have made a sp. record...so he quit...maxim losing captain overseas. Match fixing...supporting chennai players etc. were his hobby

I agree. Under Dhoni's captaincy Indian team should be named as 'Bunch of Dhoni's friends'

His action speaks more than words. He doesnot require battery of media frenzy commentators to speak about him.

As mentioned above, Dhoni is India's most successful Test captain with 27 victories out of 60 Tests, while losing 18 with 15 draws.

INDIA WILL MISS OUR CAPTAIN COOL DHONI!

Which Indian captain lost the most number of consecutive tests in Aus and Eng?
And the manner in which the announcement was made proves the team was in poor shape and something was terribly wrong.

Your statement may be right. But Dhoni has inspiration to motivate team like Ganguly. He has forced Laxman to retire. He is not able to select team. He is still after people like Ishant Sharma ( fit for nothing).

kohli is zero and can play only on dusty indian pitches.does not have talent and is just a fluke player. dhoni was a true fighter and an excellent leader. he did not play for himself but played for the team and country. this was evident from todays play. in first test that idot kohli got out on the last day without caring for the team where as today dhoni took the responsibility and sailed the team to achieve at least draw. dhoni won world cup for india I am sure kholi can not win even a spoon . for me india first and I do not care for players like kohli and sachin who play just for their own profit and not for the team. He will show what India can do. Tired of defensive Dhoni in Tests. Why does he move all the key players out.. Gambhir, harbhajan, irfan, yuvi and all.. Who is gonna win world cup with out Gambhir & Yuvi?

retired in a dhoni way too. Unlike all superstars who were forced to retire by commentators and public and waited for clappings. Love him.

He was playing politics all along along with Mr. Srinivasan. India is not chennai super kings.. Get Mr Gambhir back into action. Dhawan is no good outside India..

yeah, last time GG played Anderson and Co he scored nothing but centuries! No mistake, we respect GG for his WC winning performances in 2007 and 2011, but he is well past his expiry date and there are better and talented openers available now
