Very good decision and that too in the middle of the series. It requires lot of courage.Congrats Dhoni for your excellent adaptation to the changed scenario. You are different...Best of luck in the other two formats of the game....well done Dhoni

No friend, its bit harsh comment. Even I am not an ardent fan of Dhoni but he has really done something good to indian cricket. Even now he has shown good gesture by retiring as he understood his deputy is matured to lead and he (dhoni) adding very little to the team. How many of our previous captains have done like this. Well done capt. cool

Agree with you , still he is best captains and take decision atright time. No other captaion force to take retirement like Sunil Gavasakr and godman of Dilip tulsiram Borkar Sachin Tendulakar
overseas test record of india was never impressive. In future too, the prospects are not going to be bright. The problem is bouncy fast pitches which becomes lethal when u r playing the red ball cricket. Here in india, although players have become aggressive and better then the past, the ball never rises upto the abdomen. And same is the case the with other teams visiting the subcontinent.
Dhoni said 2 years ago, that he will retire from test cricket. It took too long for him to quit. During 2 year, pathetic overseas series, 2 Series lost in Eng, 1 in SA, and 2 in Australia.

we always find ways to criticise everybody who we think are not up to mark...please understand the same guy was leading the indian team when India clock world number one in tests....you guys don't understand what it is all about...now that he understands that Kohli is ready to lead...he stepped down...thinking that the test team is in the safe hands...gud decision by Dhoni

what is bugging you? Dhoni has been one of the fairy tales of Indian cricket- starting from an almost unheard town of Ranchi he went on to become a permanent fixture in Indian cricket and finally to one of the longest serving Indian cricket captains. Instead of congratulating him for serving Indian cricket for so long you are just seeing the negative part. He handed over the reigns even though he had a few more years to go in Test cricket!
Its sheer wastage of leadership, and a big blunder by BCCI, whoever playing dirty politics to Make Virat captain, the young lad is not ready to lead a team of rookies. Only Anushka is happy with the decision...

No. We may loose but lose it the Australian way.. Fight and then lose. Dhoni is a good politician and should consider politics seriously.
