This must be the worst cricket team ever selected by the committee headed by Sandeep Patil. Wasim Jaffer was ignored to accommodate Murli Vijay (Dhoni's team mate & Srinivasan's blue eyed boy), Jadeja was preferred to Suresh Raina, both useless off spinners Harbhajan and Ashwin were included just to help Australia to rout India. Failed Dinda was preferred in quota system in place of Eshwar Pandey who took 48 wickets in domestic season. This team will be an easy prey for Australians who must be smiling by now.
Now the question is where Shikhar Dhawan is going to fit ?
Sehwag and M. Vijay (Openers) Cheteshwar Pujara Virat Kohli Sachin Tendulkar Suresh Raina Ravindra Jadeja MS Dhoni R Ashwin / Pragyan Ojha Ishant Sharma Mohammed Shami Ajinkya Rahane Ashok Dinda
Shikhar Dhawan should be included in one day team NOT TEST TEAM same applies to Bhuneshwar Kumar.
Ambati Rayudu and Manoj Tiway should be included in the one day (when a non performer like Rohit Sharma can get a chance to play 80 one days then these 2 guys should atleast get a chance to show their talent)
Along with Umesh Yaday, Varun Aron, BCCI should start looking and nurturing One more pace bowler for the coming world cup

but i feel Vijay might get the chance specially after the 1st innings century against Mumbai in the Irani Cup

Good performing players dont get a chance and non/medium performers preferred over on what basis, i dont understand
This selection is nothing but a sham. How can the selectors not select Wasim Jaffer who scored heavily in domestic cricket??? Why can't they pick bowlers who did well in domestic cricket??? Rajasthan won Ranji Trophy Twice but none of the players (like Robin Bist for example) were considered good enough to be selected for the Indian Team. If this is not the criteria, why conduct domestic cricket seasons??? Simply ridiculous

Very true. Ashok Menaria and Robin Bist deserve a chance. Also definitely Pankaj Singh would rate ahead of Dinda
Dont know why BCCI is still in Quota system mood.. They are not professional to take decisions.. Dont know what Shikhar Dhawan, Dinda and Murli vijay doing in team..4 players are from Chennai Super Kings.. Why they call it as Indian Team.. Its Dhoni Team..CSK team.. Again Ambati Rayudu given Raw deal.. they will oose badly.
How can this lame non sporting guy be in test team. He is out of form, no technical ability, the aussies will just bown him outside offstump and he will get himself out. Gambhir taken out is a right decision. Jadeja, Schewag, Ashwin, Tendulkar are going to be the weak links of indian test squad.
