Allow all players to decide their own retirement,Why so called selection comitte warming chairs, first sack slection comitte, then so far coach has no comments, hiding face from public commebts, nobody will retire on his own except Imran khan like players who retired on top, making their country win, really great attitude of imran khan like many players.
No body needs to comments on the performance of others, They should stick to their roots. It is one's own conscious, what to do, how to do and when to do.By passing remarks, one is exposing his weaknesses like the congress is doing through through their Trustworthies. By passing remarks, these people are digging graves for congress only. So, Kapil & Gavaskar need not comment on Sachin. Perhaps the time has not come for him to do as suggested.

Gavaskar was not an ordinary Batsman in his older stages and fools like you can understand to see his last 10 innings as: 103, 176, 74, 5, 91, 0,24, 63 21 and 96 in the last test innings he had played.

In 1985–86, India toured Australia, playing against a team in a poor form slump. India were unable to capitalise as all three Tests were drawn, but Gavaskar did. He scored an unbeaten 166 in the First Test in Adelaide and 172 in the Third Test in Sydney, ending the series with 352 runs at 117.33. A three Test tour of England saw him score only 185 runs at 30.83, which India won 2–0 despite his unproductivity. In 1986–87, Gavaskar’s final season in Test cricket, India faced a long season of eleven home Tests. Against a team regarded as the worst to leave Australian shores, Gavaskar made 90 in the second innings of the First Test in Madras, giving India a chance to reach the target of 348, which ended in a tie. He scored 103 in the Third Test in Bombay to end the series with 205 runs at 51.66. The First Test against Sri Lanka in Kanpur saw Gavaskar’s 34th and final Test century of 176. He scored 74 and 5 in the next two Tests as India won the three match series 2–0. The five Test series against arch enemies Pakistan was to be his last. Gavaskar scored 91 in the drawn First Test in Madras before withdrawing from the Second Test in Calcutta as he had promised. In the Fourth Test in Ahmedabad, Gavaskar’s 63 made him the first batsman to pass 10,000 runs. With the teams locked 0–0 leading into the final Test in Bangalore, there was to be no fairytale. Gavaskar was dismissed for 96 in the second innings as India were bowled out to give

lat Parliament the so called supreme body decide the team selection make rajeev shukla the head
Recently we saw Poojara cementing his place at no.3 in the Indian batting order-a good replacement for Dravid. Slimilarly, Sachin should make way for a youngster and we have them in adequate number

You are right, Mani. In fact it is for selectors to take a decision and not wait Sachin's word. It is their duty to pick the best team. Their hesitation is going against the interests of Indian cricket.
Why to target only sachin. This is unfair.Look at the stats of team india under this coach.why not comment on coach. why dont see rest of players?is team india all about sachin?even kohli , yuvaraj dhoni ... list goes on and in bowling our spinners did not get the idea or the trick .. so will u ask the whole team to retire?Sachin came at age 16 and i personally wish him play till 45 .. whats wrong in it ?

if u have talent and guts , take the bat and play in ranji and show ur talent. They are profesionals , they know what to do , dont comment negative on any player without proper logic.U dont know how many sacrifices one has to do , to become profesional in any field
On the one side, Sachin is not performing according to his standard and on the other side, many upcoming batsmen are sitting outside. It is time that instead of looking at Sachin's past performance, his present poor form should be taken into consideration and he should be removed from the team.

Sachin has placed himself in this pitiable position. He seems to have been greedy for more records unlike Rahul and Laxman. He should have said goodbye after winning the World Cup as advised by Imran Khan.Inspite of a glorious past,it is sad to see the criticism of Sachin because of his present form and the emergence of young outstanding players. What if he fails again? It is better to call it a day one fine morning quickly.People will still remember him for the great batsman he is (or was).

I think it would be prudent to "rest" Sachin since his form is poor of late. This would give opportunity to other young players. Whether he should return to Test Team will depend on his own return of form and "will" to continue. We must follow the Australian policy where the player is not bigger than the team.
Sachin must retire at his own will. Absolutely agree. But, where it is a rule that when he retires he should be in the team. He can be out of the team and still retire
