avg shud fall below 50!
by Harit Shah on Nov 26, 2012 11:00 AM  | Hide replies

Lets hope that he plays so miserably and uselessly that his test avg will fall below 50!! probably only such a thing will knock some sense into him! He just doesn't admit that he is hanging on to past glory! I used to be a die-hard Sachin fan but this selfishness of his has made me change my mind! He's going to lose millions more of his fans like this!

He is hanging on due to sponsorship/endorsement money. If he retires many brands will be losing the advantage. Retiring gracefully and with dignity is A better option rather than being dropped. Selectors have a respect to Tendulkar and just cannot take a bold decision in the interest of younger generation. Tendulkar should realize that everything has a shelf life. Beyond expiry date even life saving medicines become poisonous.

with all respect to his acheivements.
srt shud be selected and not be given preferential treatment by asking him "Sir when do you want to retire". he alongwith uneducated fixer Dhoni are spoiling the environment of indian cricket.

why the selectors look out
by Kalpak chandra on Nov 26, 2012 10:48 AM  | Hide replies

to futrue plans of tendulkar. Instead they must see the future of indian cricket. Tendulkar was a great batsman in past now he is just a greedy selfish individual who is there to just earn more and more money.

retire gracefully
by arvind gangoly on Nov 26, 2012 10:28 AM

I think Sachin should call a spade a spade and retire gracefully. He is looking like a joker hanging till he is thrown out

for a batsmen who has score tons of centuries and been ruled the game wud remain a bitter memory for the rest of his life to quit as a failure.he is working hard to come out and we all shud stand by him and boost his confidence instead of criticising him.he shud leave the game after hitting a century.

Shameless

No doubt he was a good on any wicket when he was playing well. Now, he has already passed his right time, he should not wait more. When they are not scroing, they say they want to leave on high. And when they score - they say still some Cricket is left in them. There is no end to this - cant keep waiting for that one innings where he scores - say a 50 or even a hundred, and again continue playing for another 5-10 tests. I really admire "Rahul Dravid" and "Anil Kumble" who did not wait others to ask them to retire. Sad that SACHIN has not learnt that from his fellow crickters.

Kumble and dravid were well educated graduates, but Sachin is not so bright in studies. So,he is shortsighted and getting humiliated.
