Indians Must Take Lesson from Aussie how to Treat Legends!!!
by Saaani Mrichie on Nov 28, 2012 10:10 AM

India lost the mumbai test because aleem dar and tony hill fixed the match for brits by playing for them! Unless they are dropped for future matches we will os the series 3-1 too!Indians are very good in pulling down their heroes and many isi agents are helping them too and that is why sachin bashing happedn though he just failed in 2 Tests!Look how aussies keep Ponting in team despite so many failures!Sachin is a legend and he merits credit for making millions of indians proud too. BUT what has cricket done to india and indians??? other than helping to waste billions of working hours for past many decades and making us poorer and poorer every years as weished by crooked britishers who invnted this game to fool us and olott us like inventing the british agent makgandheee and nonviolence trick which made all hindus and indians fools forever? Time has come to Ban Cricket or at least Boring and time wasting Test Crciket now!shame all patriots and silent and not agitating to Ban Tests forever, what a shame!

I don't think Sachin should retire...
by Nikhil Shah on Nov 28, 2012 04:43 AM

After having lost the Test the jury is out and Sachin comes under pressure. Though Sachin's level may have dropped a bit it is still higher than Yuvraj, Kohli and Raina.

The domestic batting averages of Rahane, Rohit Sharma and Tiwari are well above 55-65 range and were ignored for Test match which seems to have suited them better.

But the selectors instead choose Raina, Yuvraj and Kohli whose domestic FC averages were in the 42-50 range as compared to the above. It is apparent that niether of them have the ability to build Test innings.

Like Pujara, Rahane, Rohit and Tiwari were accumulators who could have survived better than Yuvraj and Kohli. That could have made a difference in both the innings.

Sachin still if not world class but can be a force not in this series but in the future. The current batting lineup without Dravid and Laxman have added more pressure on him.

Media is responsible for unnecessary shift of attention, first for his 100th ton and now his bad patch. First, age should never be a criteria in present day sport. Any discrimination based on age should be avoided. May be some concession can be given to someone who is lacking experience, but for all others it does not matter whether he is 25, 35 or 45. It is his fitness and skills that should be considered.

Sachin can still play for a few years in Tests. He has to play a lot more domestic cricket to get the required practice. He will come back like he did in 2003.

Why don't you then ask Gavaskar to play for India if age is not an issue? I am sure he can score more runs than Sachin at his age. What are you talking man?

by P SHAH on Nov 27, 2012 07:44 AM

the duty of the selectors is to select the best team and if Sachin is consistently failing to score the runs he should be omitted from the team without any pressure.the practice of asking the player before dropping should not be considered at all.

Sachin Selfish?
by stockstalks on Nov 27, 2012 12:25 AM  | Hide replies

I admit Sachin is Not in Good Form. If a Player who is not in form that Doesn’t means, he have to retire. If yes, there should be many players who should retire now and earlier. If a Cricketer is out of form and aging, people start to call for his head. If sachin can score a Hundred in his 17th Age, He can also score at his 40s. Don’t compare Sachin with other ordinary Cricketers. Every players had bad times.
I saw many comments here about his Spirit. What you people want to say, Sachin is Selfish?
The man who scored and tried his best where others failed, who became selfish?
Whats the logic in it?
I can understand the reason behind his retirement calls. Many people didn’t likes to see sachin struggling. But calling him selfish, will happen only in india (Rights to talk Anything even its rubbish).
So you people want to call Lara Selfish, who had worst winning rate than sachin?
And you want to say Dravid was Selfish in Last Tour in England? He scored 3 Hundreds and India Failed in those Test?
Or you want to say, Calrke was selfish in his last 2 tests, where he scored 2 Double Hundreds and those didn’t helped to win those Tests?

Sachin should retire. Not only him, but others who are also not able to perform well. When it comes to Sachin, everyone know is he playing for records and his past 2 years performance has been pathetic. If he has been performing well above average comparing others in the team, no doubt, let him continue till he is 90!! none wants him to retire. It has not been the case with Sachin for a long now... SO he MUST QUIT. Now is an MP i dont see any difference between him and a true politician....both NEVER QUITS ...
What a country we are in .. :( idol worship everywhere...
Folks commit suicide if someone fails in election. Elect hardcore criminals and corrupt folks. If you
love your country you should stand for it, not for individuals!

The Dev Anand Syndrome
by Veenaay Deshpande on Nov 27, 2012 12:13 AM

In fact Sachin is suffering from an illness which is called as 'The Dev Anand Syndrome'. In this deadly syndrome a person refuses to accept his physica/current age and preferes to live in his twenties ( of course mentally). In our day to day life we come accross many such personalities who are suffering from this syndrome. This syndrome is usually traced in the persons having film industry background. In this industry this syndrome is so much prevelant that after their 30s these people start repaing their faces etc. and in the case of heroines nose, lips and some potruding body parts jus below the neck. However this syndrome had never entered before in Cricketing world. Although it had acquired some players such as G R Vishwanath and Kapil Dev but luckily for them they realized very early that they had acquired the Dev Anand Syndrome and immediately got retired and cured themselves. However in Sachin's case the syndrome seems to be extremely serious. I humbly request the board members to act suo motto and come up with a strong solution to get Sachin retired at once and get rid of this Syndrome. Thanks.

by the time sachin will retire cricket might have lost all its flavour in the subcontinent. i dont think people will have any interest in the game. the game has already become boring. even noone watches 50 - 50 or 20 - 20 now a days as seriously as before.
