England should not be allowed to have Spinners in their team?
by RAKESH DOGRA on Nov 26, 2012 11:27 AM

The only way we can win against them is that we should have spinners friendly pitches but should not allow England to have spinners.

Revival
by Aditya Misra on Nov 26, 2012 11:23 AM  | Hide replies

The measures needed to be taken for revival of Indian team are:-
1. Change the bowling attack - Rest Zaheer and Ashwin, bring in Dinda and Piyush Chawla or Amit Mishra in.
2. Rest Sachin, Sehwag, Gambhir; bring in Rahane, Manoj Tewari and other new batsmen like Unmukt Chand in.
3. Remove Dhoniu from Captaincy, give it to Raina or Kohli.
4. Bring back Ishant, L Balaji, persist with Umesh Yadav and Dinda...
Keep this team for next 10 matches, assured... see the performance.

Dhoni is still the best.If you give a bunch of non performing players to Dhoni, he cannot help. Only Pujara has applied in this series. Rest of them did not bat and bowl as expected. Ojha was the only performing bowler.

Dhoni has become very predictable for the opponents these days... That is why his moves are anticipated and they prepare themselves for them. What is needed is an element of surprise... which can be put up by a new captain with a new set of bowlers...

Why in the middle of a series
by Maihoon Don on Nov 26, 2012 11:16 AM  | Hide replies

Journalists demoralized the team in Aus series midway by asking for head of Dravid and Laxman. Now they are doing the same to Tendulkar.

For getting TRP bytes, they can destroy a team in the middle of a series. I am sure at the end of the series, if Sachin flops in the whole series, he will evaluate his options.

But don't destroy another series for India by dissecting individual players.

Sachin has failed to cross 50 in his last 12 innings. And more often than not, he has been out BOWLED or LBW which shows that there is a problem with the way he sighting the ball and that his reflexes have slowed down.

He has been one of the greatest batsmen ever and he has had a long & fruitful career. Sachin is well past his USE BY date. It is high time that he quits with dignity or else the selectors should drop him. Period.

Why only last 12 innings? Why not last 15 or 20 innings? Because it dosen't suit your stats?

My point which you conveniently ignored is that Sachin had a bad NZ series and if he has a bad Eng series then he will definitely evaluate his options. He being an icon, lets trust him to do that instead of forcing another retirement.

Look, we will know the effect of retirement of seniors only in next series abroad, its easy to dismantle a team than building it.

Why Dhobi or Selectors are so silent.
by sujay on Nov 26, 2012 11:14 AM

Why others are not given similar long rope as it is given to Tendulkar, be Ganguly or Laxman why they were treated so shabbily. Why Dhobi is silent. Always he will be so outspoken.

His intension is only money. He know if he quit, he will not get any adds. He should atleast see Dravid, Lakshman, Gangully. All are retired and this man is still there, tough he he not making any runs or even helping the team. He should quit immediately from all forms of the cricket.
