by sitansu padhi on Nov 27, 2012 12:02 AM  | Hide replies

when no one will visit the stadiums to watch him play or no one will watch TV sets when he is playing. sachin and sharukh, these two buddhas will have same fate after some time. their neighbors will fail to recognise them.

by the time sachin will retire cricket might have lost all its flavour in the subcontinent. i dont think people will have any interest in the game. the game has already become boring. even noone watches 50 - 50 or 20 - 20 now a days as seriously as before.

Tendulkar.. Tendulkar has taken loan of over 500 crores to build properties all over world, bought few islands to enjoy summer holidays with family and invested few hundred millions in other assets. If he listen to public and retire who will pay the loan? public? He has 18 commercial contracts and endorsement and his yearly income is 150 crores. Let him enjoy 3 years so that he can cover his loan and then retire peacefully after that. In the meantime more endoresements and money welcome- sachin

Indians are happy for personal milestones of individual players. No matter India loses, Indians are happy if someone scores hundred during defeat. Tendulkar is prime example of selfish play who is merely extending his career for more hundreds. Matter of fact, his average in tests have started declining. Watching him play nowadays is really a pain.

Sachin's retirement
by Venugopal GV on Nov 26, 2012 04:31 PM

One has to watch the way he gets out.Faulty footwork and slowing reflex are all there to see. This is being observed for some years now.Sachin should give his place to a talented youngster who can only keep improving with exposure like Sachin himself did in the past. Why prevent another player when Sachin is nearing 40.BCCI cannot remain a silent spectator.

Shud Sachin retire?
by seejo paul on Nov 26, 2012 03:29 PM  | Hide replies

Those who cry for Sachin's retirement shud also think of a replacement for him. It is not that the team is loosing bcoz of Sachin's bad performance. It is not that Sachin is not performing and others are performing well. We can win only if somebody performs, like Sachin did in the last two decades. As of now u cant see somebody to replace him. For the last 10 tests check the average of all our batsman. Other than Virat's & Poojara's u cant see any better records.Averages of Gambir, Sehwag, Dhoni, Yuvraj are all poor.

You will not know till you give chance to new players right? If senior players don't step down, and young players are consistently given chance in the team, they are not going to get confidence. Yuvraj was given so many for chances 10 years before he clicked in 20 20 world cup.

only if u give chance to youngsters we will find whether there is any replacement. thats how pujara came up. And wats the benefit for india if we give him a chance for one or two more series. Its high time we talk from the nation's point of view. Enough is enough as far as sachin is concerned. Always the nation should come first. Else if we go by emotional selections rather than a fair one, such debcales like the one which we faced today, will repeat in the coming matches as well

Why should he retire.? He is still enjoying his batting even though for a only for a few overs. His mere presence on the ground lifts the morale of the entire team. The opponent team that is.
