Dravid the great batsman

Sachin is miles away from the caliber of Dravid .... Sachin got the luxury to get batting greats like Dravid and Ganguly to shield him through most of his career . Plus Sachin has played 7 more years than Dravid and 10 more than Ganguly . If Dravid or Ganguly were to play those 7 years they would have crossed Sachin by a huge margin ... so one should compare Apple with Apple .... and in the last 16 years ,,,, Dravid's all round performance has been stupendous .... I take a bow to hail the World's greatest number 3 and an all time great .... As far as im concerned watching cricket is over ... it was only for Dravid that I used to watch for the last 16 years ....

very soon the time will come when people are going to break their tv sets if they sachin in the playing eleven...because sachin has unequivocally stated that he does not intend to retire as long as he ''enjoys'' playing...in other words he is NEVER going to retire...and like a true soldier is going to lay his body on the battlefield and will die when on duty....

very soon the time is going to come when people will get nauseated when they see him on the tv screen...

Tendulkar's gain is India's loss
by VISHWANATH IYER on Mar 17, 2012 12:09 AM

It is for all of us to see what happened in today's match against Bangladesh. Just to get to a personal milestone, he played so slow that India ended up about 25 runs short and lost the match. I suppose even Tendulkar would have preferred he not getting to a 100 and India winning.
