Demon, I am not a fan of SRT. But he also got a M. o. S in Australia during 99-00, Singer series in 94, Compaq cup 2009.

No need to mention India's best test player of recent times (Dravid's) M. o. S in England 2011, England 2002 & Australia 2004.

Dhoni's horrible wicket keeping, dirty field placements, senseless bowling changes and worst strategies cost us the ODI series in England-2011. Mind you there was no midget/oldies in the ODI series. So, he was not able to blame anyone but his luck.

Dhoni leading India-A or B is immaterial since he was the biggest reason why India lost ODIs in England. Dhoni is just media hype. Some losers like you & Vaidya just bark.

by vijay tiwari on Jun 03, 2012 01:42 PM

Hey! Gauti i lost all respect for you man ,these comments are very unlike what i perceived of you, cant imagine you captaining the nation, you are just a good batsman on Indian wickets so keep scoring centuries here and lead the tamasha.Captains dont talk and show their desires like a child expecting lollipop

Sorry Gambhir
by Ramachandran on Jun 03, 2012 01:38 PM

What Muralidevi said is exactly correct.Gauti should not forget how much dhoni supported him when he is in bad form.Just One success wont prove his quality. All this dirty politics stated in australia when gauti questioned dhoni about that last over finish of 2nd T20.Since then he and sehwag throwing stones at him.The pity is why dont they think that these silly things is derimental to the TEAM INDIA.Seh and gauti - beaware Rahane's and Dhawan's are already there to replace u both. But nobody is there to DHONI.So better u both stop dirty politics and try to keep ur place in the team

Dhoni for ODI's and T20's
by avishek on Jun 03, 2012 01:10 PM  | Hide replies

Dhoni is more of a street smart type cricketer a jugaad type captain which works well in ODI's and T20's not in test matches. Also captaining, keeping batting in all 3 formats may be too much for Dhoni and he may get injured which will be terrible loss for India. Dhoni should retire from Test matches gradually and concentrate more on ODI's and T20's which is where he really makes a difference. Gambhir may not be a good replacment, but to be honest there isn't much choice left if we exclude dhoni.

True, Dhoni shd retire from tests only ODI'S and 20-20 thats where he is at his best..And stop playing with Sehwag and GAMBHIR, they are Indias best bets yet.. and he shd stop promototing people like ashwin and Vijay who are good only for IPL and 20-20

Gautam Gambhir needs to learn batting first
by Murli Devi on Jun 03, 2012 12:28 PM  | Hide replies

A man who never sees success and when he gets one by chance he starts behaving like king of world...this is exactly with entire team of KKR including its boss and captain.
IPL is not even at the standard of national level Ranji, forget international cricket. This man Gambhir is an utter idiot who has forgotten his performance just before IPL during Australia and England visits when country needed his performance the most. He alongwith Sehwag and Gangul is playing constant politics against Dhoni, which has only damaged the team. Forget about making such selfish man as the captain of the team but such players should be thrown out of the team. National team is paying heavily for keeping Gambhir and Sehwag..there are several youngsters better than these two to take place. Dhoni is far superior human being than most of the present day cricketers and this is why he has proved himself as the most successful captain. Even in IPL his team won three times but success never got into his head. Even the last loss to KKR was due to one dirty over by Albie Morkel giving 20 runs. Otherwise this man would be sulking somewhere in Delhi.

MURLI DEVI dont be biased, its Dhoni who played politics by dropping sehwag and gambhir in australia in the name of rotation policy. His performance has been pathetic over last year and more how can he point fingurs on others. If no sehwag or gambhir, india would not have become NO.1 test and Odi teams. Ur friend Dhoni is only bcoz of fluke and good luck and bit of BCCI politics

hey Navdeep, to an extent i agree that becuase of Dhoni's good luck and guts India have been the ODI or T20 champion and were NO.1 test side though most of the matches played in india only.. for that we have to give credit to Dhoni and we should be proud of...and we all know in asian pitches non of bowler of cricket playing nation would like to bowl to Yuvraj, Dhoni, Raina, Kohli, shawag so on in any format of the cricket. from ODI and T20 you cant compare between these two .. Dhoni is far superior then Gouti in all perspective including stats and led the side as a leader... for test Matches yea Dhoni hardly understand whats going on.. we need fresh thinking hat but for sure not Gouti.. he need to learn and prove himself that his good in abroad pitches as well...He keep talking non-sense these days "a captain is as good as team" or "Numbers for headline only" not sure what he meant.. is he hinting towards Sachin or Dravid who proves over the time and he know those are impossible target for him now one..not sure though...From batting perspective Goutam has to learn and more over he also need to learn some other aspect of the personality before taking responsiblity of the Captain..

Gatuam is fighting MSD it seems
by senthil kumar on Jun 03, 2012 11:18 AM  | Hide replies

It is quite clear there is a tussle btw Gauti an MSD. And Gauti is saying the exact opp of MSD (whn askd abt pitch condition, par score etc) even during IPL mathces when they played against each other.

I do believe that a captain is only as good as his team but it also true that you require that leadership quality that makes ppl perform better. On the contrtary a egoistic mind can corrupt a good unit - a great example is Greg Chappel. So I am not sure what he is trying to say when he says "a captain is as good as the team. It's a successful team that makes a successful captain" - it is more like taking pot shots at MSD or he is guarding himself if India loses the next test series with him as the new captain.

I am not a great fan of MSD for test cricket but I don't think Gauti is captaincy material after looking at his ego-hyped post-match conferences. Certainly seems something is stuck up his head.

And to top it all he says this -"Even at this stage, if I don't score runs in two or three games I start feeling that I am going to be dropped. That has gone so much inside my system that I have started living with it". Hw is a guy who is so insecure gonna lead a team when he goes through a lean patch.

Such type of comments as said by Gambhir show that he is desperate. Playing in indian conditions and making runs is easier. Showing consistency on pitches in australia, england and south africa is something else. Gambhir should be aiming for averaging at least 40 in the above mentioned countires to stake a claim. This is because he is primarily a batsman
