If there is any player who through his nationwide appeal and clout holds the BCCI and selectors to ransom it is Sachin Tendulkar. BCCI and former players give an indication as if Sachin is too great to be asked to quit and that he himself shall decide. Is it so difficult to drop Sachin considering that he is well past his prime and presently playing only for records and personal achievements. He has done this in the past as well though it may not be prudent to mention about it. Dravid, Ponting, Brett Lee have called it a day and not held the country and selectors to ransom by their sheer fan following. So how different is Tendulkar. Maybe a strong willed selector who has no qualms of showing seniors the door should immediately agree a phase out plan with Sachin so that he is moved out pretty soon. In any case the absence of Sachin Tendulkar might not make India's positions in Tests and One days worse than it already is
Tendulkar is well past his prime. He is a liability with his fielding. His 100th 100 cost us the match and the place in the finals as well. As he would be approaching with some milestone or the other, he is going to get bogged down with that. Its time for him to call Quits !!

Tendulkar started playing in 1989. When faced Warne/ Mc Grath/ Akram/ Walsh / Younis/Mustaq.. when they were in full bloom and blasted all of them. probably you were in your nappies then.
