Enough Master Plaster
by Sachin Surendran on Jul 16, 2012 01:02 PM  | Hide replies

A youngster's cricket dream also should be given consideration. There is a chance of wasting good talent in early stage due to presence of Tendulkar in team. Sachin has always proved everyone he is best, so let others also prove their worth now.

Don't you think that having Sehwag, Raina, Dhoni and Rohit in team increases chance of wasting emerging talents?
All of them may be good in patches but none of them performs when it is needed.

just take the no. of odis we played with him and without him for the past many years.

we have won more percentage of odis when he was not available or did not play rather than when he played.

retire
by Binoy Guinto on Jul 16, 2012 12:46 PM

Most player are forced to retire after they turn 35 or so because as you age, your body slows down. You can't compete with young players, so it's best to give someone else a chance. Lara was a great player, who performd well against all opposition and in all sorts of pitches. It's unlikely that Tendulker will be asked to retire, ever but he should do it. But no one may admit it, but the lure of money and records are tough to decline. Anyway, Dravid has always been the better batsman.

100 tons by scoring tons against weaker teams like Kenya, Bangladesh, Bermuda, Zimbabwe and NewZealand.

However we cannot force someone who wish to retire with disgrace. Khelte Raho Khush Raho.

At least get your facts correct. He has hit 10 Test hundreds against the best Test team of his era.

Not even 50 % of his total hundreds have come against weaker teams.. please do not criticise for the hack of it.

Should Tendulkar come out clean with his plans when it comes to O
by anand pradhan on Jul 16, 2012 12:43 PM  | Hide replies

Looking at WC 2015, he is skipping the ODI series where 2 or 3 teams involved. Parallely, it is allowing available bench strength to get tested at International level. There is no doubt he still is a force to watch for carefully and against which opposition are afraid though they may not accept publicly. Moreover, being a team player, he would himself would make way for youngster if he feels if he can't contribut to the nation.

by shyamprasad on Jul 16, 2012 12:39 PM

It ok, sooner or later one has retire form active cricket. If not today ina few months he wiil be out. There were somany such cases, lik OZ losing greg chappel, Lillee, Marsh at one time but they didn't lose their punch. One should not be only main batsmen others like Kholi, Raian Rahul Sharma are inline also YUvi will come back no worry. Good luck.
