One of our best test cricketers - full of grit, determination and timing. And above all playing for the team not worrying about individual achievements. To top it all, a GENTLEMAN Cricketer. May his tribe increase in Indian cricket.
What a sportsperson! What a personality! India has been lucky to have a sportsperson like Rahul. A person so knowledgeable and dignity, very difficult to find in these times.
respect for the man automatically comes out of heart when you take a man name. that is Rahul dravid the great Indian wall. last for the generation never had before or never we will have.
If Statistics on paper...ads on TV...Bank balance show the potential of a sportsman...Team India should win worldcup for India atleast 4times. 1996 and 2003 have India's best teams in world cups...but, a true sportsman come out not only in form of runs but also inform of spirit, dedication, determination, honesty and integrity. Sachin might be a great batsman but we cant call him a great sportsman. y he hesisted to play other than opening in ODIs...y cant he open the innings in tests when the regular got injured...every time in those cases the first man comes to our mind is Rahul dravid. in that regard, we should call him the gladiator of Indian cricket

Hi Kranthikiran,
You are very much right. Yes sachin might be a great batsman not great sportsman. He never used to come as a batsman no 4 even though many experts suggested him. Now is the time for him to do so, which he will never do till retirement. Similarly, Ganguly never used to compromise on coming as a second down batsman....
