Yeah, had Sachin Tendulkar played in those 8 test matches, we would have managed to SAVE at least one..

In England he was best batsmen, see the records, IN Australia he was not bad then Laxman..
Its not is to play for a long time in the test cricket unless you have best skills and techniques like the wall Rahul Dravid. If young cricketers can adopt the required skills rapidly then we can expect India's better performance in test cricket.

He may be a Wall or great cricketer but it is not right to say that he had best skills or techinques. He had very limited strokes at his disposal and most of his hits were very weak and stopped by fielders before reaching boundary. His batting was eyesore even though he did save many tests for India. I put batsmen like Brian Lara, Sachin Tendulkar and Virender Sehwag much above Dravid as far as cricketing strokes are concerned. Stopping the ball from going to wicket like a goal keeper in front of the goal is a technique, Dravid is a master of such technique.

It is your perception. In my view he is the best test batsman of India. He has proved the same many times. Many critics also opined the same.
