Dhoni s true colour
by AdinGoyyale on Jan 15, 2012 11:13 AM

What a third rate captain. Even Bangladesh and Zimbabwe would have fought to the last. This is the problem if you ask Gilli Danda players to captain the team

Removing Dhoni is not the solution. The team never had a chance to regroup under the new coach. A coach is a key position in the team and a change there can affect the team's performance as its clear since no one is able to perform. So axing Dhoni cannot be the solution. In the next 5 years 8 players will retire T'kar, Dravid, Laxman, Dhoni, Gauti, Viru, Zak n Bhajji. So, why not do it like the Aussies n not the Pakis. They Groomed Clarke for the post for 4 yrs n did not axe ponting. Now when he is ready he is performing well under ponting's guidance until he feels confident after which ponting will go. Similarly we should groom Raina or Kohli for the post of captain n in the mean while give the team a chance to regroup. Madan lal wants fresh ideas... well he's a bit old too. Why not have fresh ideas at that level? BCCI should look to form a competitive team n not go about minting money from tournaments. Once the team is ready, they will perform anywhere.

It is easy to find a scapegoat in the coach and try to save Dhoni. Dhoni does not have the requirements of a Test captain. Once the team is in the field, it is the captain who is in control. Coach has very limited role.

Make "SACHIN" AS "CAPTAIN"
by Rakesh nair on Jan 15, 2012 10:38 AM  | Hide replies

"SACHIN" will only "Retire" if "Kallis" & "Pointing" retires so make him "Captain" so that as long as he is there will "try "to play for "India".
Sachin,Dhoni & Sehwag have lost "Interest" playing for "Nation" & "Surprisingly" these are the 3 who are "Controlling" Team India & earning almost "90%" of "Rest" of "Team India".
Let "Dhoni" regain "Form" & "Interst",can be made captain again..
But the "Million Dollar" Question is wen "Sachin" will "Retire" & who has "Guts" to say becoz "Kallis" is playing Really well so "Sachin" has to score "Test runs" & "Centuries" ..
"Opportunistic Corporate Media" wont ask for "Sachins" RESIGNATION!!!!!!!

Why this KOLAVERI???
by krish chandrasekhar on Jan 15, 2012 10:32 AM

I am amazed at the amount of time that is spent on analyzing now - where was the preparation? You expected Aussies to give a Kolkatta or Mumbai pitch? They play to their strength and may be more to our lack of preparedness!!
You are supposed to anticipate this and atleast have one or two pitches in India prepared keeping this in mind.
I wish all these experts ever taken atleast 10% efforts .

he should be the first in the list. Enough of providing him his space for hundred. If dravid who did far far better in eng than sachin has done in this tour needs to go, then obviously sachin should be let go. All 3 oldies should call it a day now.

result?? i will tell you.
he is still the highest scorer in this series and i bet will remain so on this tour. He was playing on 73, when India was already lost 6 wicket. you want him to play with tailender like a superhero? he made 80 in second test, and once he was out, all the wickets fell one after another.go and ask the australian players, who is the most fearsome batsman for them even now also.

Ganguly talking about planned retirement is really funny. He dragged his feat.
I am sure Dravid will be the first person to announce his retirement, VVS will follow.
Dhoni will also let go his skipper because he has one days and T20.
Tendulkar is Ganguly type. Will Drag on and on

hehe. well that is what it was. He s still hurting from him being dropped in last Aus tour by dhoni. This is his chance to extract revenge and he is using it well. Smart guy but agenda man. But dhonis fault. He provided the chance. Now deal with it.

dhoni only won games because of other players, now that those players are not doing well it is revealing the true limited capabilities of dhoni as a captain. he has no clue what he is doing on the field, even all commentators are saying what is he thinking of moving field settings against bowlers wishes.

Predictible show
by majji babu on Jan 15, 2012 07:12 AM  | Hide replies

There are no surprises here. the fact that Indians lack the technique to play fast swing bowling was well known by every level headed cricketing pundit. the list includes tendulkar, dravid, vvs, sehwag , gambhir . Gavaskar was one of the better known players of swing bowling but he along with Ravi shastri should stop playing dirty politics and also stop singing tendulkar laurels every time they are under a scanner. media too is very manipulative and should be shunned for playing such cheap tricks. tendulkar is just an ok player he is nowhere in the class of even Kallis and Ponting as far as playing quality bowling matters. as for statistics we all know at the end of the day winning only matters. Dhoni is a good captain and stroke player on flat pitches. he has one of the worst footwork for fast bowling along with sehwag and yuvraj. so guys we have lost our way to good cricket long back. so why regret now
