SRT is a mad guy..I wish some fast bowler breaks his jaws so this short budda retires and that will be the biggest favour he will do to Indian Cricket...
Its clear that this was an emotional decision rather than a well thought out decision. He was being forced by the BCCI to step down after the current series and was even threatened to be dropped if he did not quit (remember media speculation of his retirement for the last few days, all courtesy BCCI). He chose to quit immediately rather than getting humiliated. This is so sad. I feel with the kind of contribution he made for Indian cricket, at least the decision could have been left to him. If any one deserved to be dropped it is the overhyped & highly over rated Sachin Tendua, the ever selfish and worthless cricketer the country has ever had, who played only for the records and has seldom won a match for India from the jaws of defeat. Compared to him, Laxman ( & Dravid)have on innumerable occasions brought India out from the jaws of defeat. Hats off to thee, a real hero.

When the entire Indian team did badly in the recent Test matches in England,why is Laxman only made the target? It was a game going on to accomodate the failure Rohit.Gavaskar and Sanjay Manjrekar have also contributed to his resignation. Ganguly has rightly said that it is the madness of the selectors led by Srikkanth.It is a shame the way we treat our icons of sports.Laxman has gone like a gentleman and a great cricketer giving a slap on the face of BCCI and Srikkanth.His place in cricketing history is assured and all Indians salute him for his contribution.

His Cherry was taken long back, he was quite cheery about it.
When ohter India team members are batting, you as a spectator in the stadium or an audience watching on TV feel you are in the midst of watching a war going on with your men fighting the war.
Enter Laxman;
You feel you have been transported to an Art Gallery for a long trip
only to be brought down to watching the battle again

In Todays very Competitive Sports World we need Cricketers who excel in all feilds, top class feilding and when needed a breakthrough bowler, not only BATTING. Its Good now that he is a Picture to be hanged on the Art Gallery, RIP
