Sad year
by M Dhoni on Aug 19, 2012 10:55 AM

This is the saddest year for Indian cricket. Earlier Dravid and now laxman retired. SRT too will retire in an year or so and then team India's batting will bcm weak just like bowling. Some people may say that what did SRT, Dravid n VVS did when we got whitewashed recently. My question to such people is - how many times we got whitewashed when fab4 was there? And even in whitewash SRT n Dravid scored more runs thn others. Lets see what will SO CALLED TALENTED YOUNGSTERS do now.
VVS is a great batsman and a strong pillar of fab4. We are fortunate to see these fab4 playing for nation and make India proud.

Laxman you are a Gem of Indian Cricket. You played some memorable Innings which still tinkering in my mind.
How can i forget a Day 14th March 2001, That is Gem of an inning from You and Dravid (Laxman 275* Dravid 155*).That Day i feel is Steping Stone Indian Test Cricket to new Level.

I felt emotional on seeing you in Retirement Press Conference. All the Best for your Future Endeavor.

I think Laxman and Dravid are Legends but with low profile.

One of the Greats
by Sudarshan S on Aug 19, 2012 10:14 AM

His avg of 46 is inspite of him opening in abt 20-30 innings during early part of his carreer. Had he been a permanent no 3 that avg wud have gone up. So many times he had to bat with the tail. Alas, Statistics dont reveal everything. True gr8 of the game. Just google his you tube link of interview with Radio Sai on Sai Baba and you will understand how spiritual he is and how he managed to be stoic under pressure situations by being a regular reader of Bhagavath Gita which inspired him to remain calm and himself come what the situation
