laxman

It is really sad to hear laxman's retirement from international cricket with immediate effect. Though it was pretty much on the cards but still he deserves a lot of respect. During the years that India was no. 1 team in test, it was primarily due to his batting heroics, where he would win matches consistently from almost hopeless situations. After Dravid, Laxman was India's best fighter who quits the game. It will definitely be tough for youngsters to fit into the shoes of these stalwarts.

Ofcourse I am a Sachin Fan

It has become a habit for the bloggers in this forum that regardless of the title and content of the article they would come and criticise sachin. In my view any players' retirement is in their hands only. If he does not deserve a place he can be dropped including sachin. But for that the scale should be same to measure. Before dropping him one should drop many others in the team who also had failed. I would like to express my views that since there are less supporters seen in this forum it does not mean sachin has lost his popularity. The fact is sachin supporters knew that these people would criticise him for whatever he does and they would not back any logic for their arguments.

Nonsense. If others fail it must be due to inexperience. Sachin cannot trot out this reason. If Sachin, the greedy, leaves the others would get experience.

retirement is a loss
by suryanarayanan ramesh on Aug 18, 2012 09:06 PM

Laxmans retirement is a Big Loss to all Indian cricket fans. He is an fantastic cricketer who has been under estimated with less popularity.

Only the Australians knew him what Laxman is capable of to them and for Indian cricket.

One should not treat him very badly.

PATRIOTIC CITIZEN

THE GREATEST VVS
by sachin zodgekar on Aug 18, 2012 09:02 PM

I AM SHOCKED THAT VVS HAS ANNOUNCED THE RETIREMENT I THOUGHT HE SHOULD DO IT AFTER NEWZEALAND SERIES. NOW I DON'T HAVE THE MOTIVATION TO WATCH INDIAN TEAMS BATTING. SINCE 2001 AFTER GREAT 281 INNINGS I BECAME THE FANATIC PRO LAXMAN! 2003 AUSTRALIAN SERIES AND AFTER THAT EVERY TEST SERIES I USED TO WAIT ONLY FOR VVS TO COME ON THE GROUND TO BATTING AND WATCHING HIS MAGICAL BATTING
