Sachin has achieved height of selfishness; So probably people have to wait until Sachin leaves for heavenly abode, b'coz he is unlikely to retire..

Who is going to guide Pujara? Dhoni?
by Talisman on Aug 18, 2012 12:04 PM  | Hide replies

The likes of Pujara need Laxman to be around when he faces high-quality fast bowling in SA in november when India tour SA. Who is going to guide him? Dhoni? In test matches, I havent seen Dhoni bat at all, 'cause he is back in the pavillion before anyone settles in their seat.

I think Sofia Hayat is guiding Rohit Sharma nicely. Poor Pujara has no one to guide him.

Pujara is essentially a Ranji grade player, much hyped by media and a few fans and fewer past players. Time will prove that he is not test class.

Rohit Sharma is much talented but his attitude seems to be a definite negative.

There are Manoj Tiwaris and Virat Kohlis and Suresh Rainas who can rise to the occasion if given enough chances in tests.

IT IS NOT THE ROLE OR DUTY OF the captain of a side to coach or guide his players on technique. But rare gems like Dhoni do make younger players comfortable with their cool head.

Your sarcasm of Dhoni is very understandable. We all hate to live with and admire successful people.

Why we should go with the statics , one who can help the team to win the game shall be given chance to 11 and in this case Kohli, Raina & Yuvi are far a head from these pujaras and badrinaths they are made to play only Ranji they are satisfied over there only. they cann't play the world class bowling likes of styen etc......

I agree with your assessment that given a chance Manoj Tiwari will be a better bet than Rohit Sharma both in one days and test matches. Rohit Sharma is talented but lacks consistency and his attitude towards the game is a matter of concern

Dravid and Laxman were the two best batsmen in test cricket during the the last 15/20 years. Hats off to them and their family.

After Vishy, Azhar now Laxman the only current cricketer who is as wristy as the earlier ones, will be missed , he had done yeoman service to India and I think if at all he takes the decision to retire it was never too late.
We will miss VVS and wish you all the very best for your future

What is your reason for asking one of the top batsman to retire? Is it so we can see you bat for India in your gully cricket?

Get a life fella!
