he failed completely in Australia tour and I think this will continue in NZ also.

If he would have retired early then an YOUNGSTER could have got chance

no one predicted any of the 4 star batsmen would fail. And it happened.
So they're leaving the grand stage, one by one, sooner or later.

Give respect for their stellar contribution. Every inning of VVSL was very very special - leading to save or win the game. His opponents respect and admire him equally.

The youngsters who have failed miserably so far in Test cricket are Raina, Mukund, M Vijay and Yuvraj. Even after an average player like Ganguly retires the Indian selectors haven't got a good replacement. How will someone replace Laxman?

replacement available or not...retirement is an unavoidable truth in a sportsperson's life...laxman could not have continued to play forever, waiting for replacement

Hats off to VVS

He may not be a very fit and agile cricketer. He perhaps was a failure in ODI's. Not be having a fan following like sachin, dravid or saurav. But he has given his 100% dedication to play for the country and gave his best to win matched for India. I salute to this great cricketer.
