I can recollect my encounter with the so called Tiger a long time back in late sixties. It was a Ranji Trophy match and Mansoor Ali was representing Bhopal. His side was batting. The players of batting side were playing cards in the pavilion. Mansoor was one of them. His turn came to bat. He asked his other parteners in the card game to continue play as he will be back soon. Sure enouph! He faced one ball and was clean bold. So much for the commitment . We the young impressionable were shocked at his attitute and lost all the respect for him.

RIP..but its true that Pataudi's cousin is slated to be the next ISI or General of Pak army. Sahebzada Yakoob Khan, no friend of India was also his uncle. Tiger Pataudi did not rise above Islamic bigotry at all. He had to convert Sharmila and raise strictly Islamic kids.

Ankur , its mainly Rediff's fault for the heading . The article covered all aspects of Pataudi's life well . Besides , the author has only said that he was glamourous and was rumoured to have had dalliances with prominent actresses with a sentence which says that most of these rumours were false . ( "most of them imaginary ")
