Why make this news so big yaar? He is after all an average cricketer. You can argue that he played with one eye. Boss, if his chance was given to a normal player, he would have performed better than this Jack eyed player. Just because he hails from Royal family, it doesn't mean you should make this news big. There are players who served India and are struggling to make their lives like B.S Chandrashekar. Rather let media make news about them atleast when they are alive so that their living conditions become better.
Sorry if I had hurt somebody. But I am just trying to bring out the truth.

You have no idea what 'attack' means as against 'defence' which the India was all about . He brought the word 'Attack' to Indian Cricket and Indian minds.

He did to Indian cricket what another Bengali again did in 2000s plus like it or not he and Sharmila were a huge charishma for a generation. He deserves these dues.

If MAK Pataudi were to be young and playing cricket currently, he would eat any of the modern superstars alive. There is no doubt about it.

Did Pataudi slept with your mother and you born? Why you get so angry? I just gave my view just like any other in this forum. But not like you.

Hello gentleman, if you can't find words to praise the person after his death, atleast please do not throw your shit on his Soul, OK. Your words only show your quality and nothing else.
plz show some respect to this great champion.do not compare him with radicals like omar abdullah,mehbooba and gang..he was the one that brought in indianness in the team....let's fight the pseudos with all our might....but's let's still be fair...
In the age when Indian batsmen were scared of facing the battery of pace bowling of various countries,Pataudi definately ushered era of attacking attitude on the field in cricket.But was known and will be remembered more for his flamboyance than his cricketing technique.

Clearly a very personal attack for no reason. It is evident that you have scant regard for a person per se, and are prejudiced against people from a certain profession. Forget Showbiz, people from all walks of life, be the bureaucracy, Corporate world, politics or any other vocation can be right-wrong, positive-negative but you possess a limited thinking and no sense, whatsoever ! Hope, u get well soon...because, you really are Sick, Rajesh !!
Pataudi was indeed an average batsman. He was not an automatic choice in the Indian Eleven. He was not a very dedicated and commited cricketer either. But, he was a stylish batsman - his runs were not very much, but were pleasing to watch. He was glamorous, charismatic and a good, intelligent captain who instilled a desiore to win. He had to play with one eye only, but these stories about his seeing two balls etc. were not heard during his playing days and its better not to dwell on hypothetical matters like what would have happened if he had both eyes. His conduct out of his playing days was also not above reproach. To sum up, Pataudi was one of the best captains of the Indian cricket team - and a batsman who would not have found a place on his own in today's Indian team.

YOu have to evaluate the same things based on the environment and situation of that time which prevailed in those days cricket;
He was the first innovative captain India ever produced. Sad it was marred with politics & the capataincy went to Ajit wadekar, only to be re-called. He set the fielding standards(Tuue a TIGER ON PRAWL IN COVER & COVER POINT REGION!) & showed the world that test matches can be won without fast bowlers! Can anyone imagine spinners in 3rd over of a match???? May his soul rest in peaces!
I salut the person who has given the vision to the Indian Cricket team who to win. I personally inspired by his presence in Indian Cricket. CA Mukesh Singh Kushwah
