i would like to add one more...i believe one single example is enough to prove dhoni's uselessness...i would like to add one more...Dhoni's best ever batting show of 7 runs from 22 deliveries in one of the T-20 games...it was because of his batting that batsman like Bravo who batted after Dhoni, inspite of hitting 3 or 4 sixes and scoring at a strike-rate of almost 200 could not take CSK to victory...Bravo remained not-out in the end and ran out of overs...just think of it Dhoni scores 7 in 22 deliveries ....wonder what excuse he made that day !!!

I would not call that useless...i will call it downright harmful....infact CSK lost because of Dhoni as batsmen after Dhoni ran out of overs...if Dhoni was out for duck that would have been uselss...this would be harmful

Dhoni also scored 15 in 30 against cobras...but luckily csk won cos of Bravo....Dhoni seems to be a opposition team's player

as it was FIXED. So don't brag about Dhoni's captaincy. He was caught off guard in England as they refused to bow down for Money and suddenly captain Cool turned in Captain Fool.
You can say big words like "revenge", "Purest Emotion" and "Redemption" but reality looks so different. The England team is an experienced side and came early to play warm-up games to climatize themselves to the Indian conditions. They have a formidable batting line-up and a balanced bowling attach.
Compared to them, the Indian look like a bunch of inexperienced players clobbered together with aging veterans to make up a team.
Indian captain has lost his wining ways and he needs to let someone else take the leadership role. How much of his past success can be attributed to master genius of Gary Kirsten? Dhoni has failed as a leader in England tour and failed again with his "All Star" team CSK not even able to make to the semifinals. Dhoni's escape route was that he appreciates the break due to early exit from CLT20 XI .. huh? His own performance as wicketkeeper was atrocious and India may be looking for a replacement wicketkeeper very soon.
He has one last chance to save his reputation against England at home. But without Zaheer, Yuvraj, Tendulkar, and Harbhajan, it is going to be an uphill task.
He has six inexperienced bowlers in the team and from what I have seen, S Aravind, Vinay Kumar, and Varun Aron should not even be in the team. But who cares about performance .. right?

Appreciate your critical analysis. However, I disagree with your last statement as we need to choose from what we have and we have to go ahead with selecting youngsters even if sometimes consistent performance cannot be guaranteed! I would prefer we give utmost importance to fielding capabilities.

Offcourse, the new players have to be blended in. I am just concerned at the lack of talent among these newcomers. Hope we can find replacements for Dravid, Laxman, Tendulkar, Sehwag, Kumble, and Zaheer soon.
