Vengsarkar not biased..he he..joke of the year..U guys have short memory..remember Rahul Dravid. Agree Uttappa is a good player but his performance is very moderate in recent years (even in Ranji Trophy) and he wasnt even opening for Karnataka (he went down to the middle order to regain his lost form). It is not the mistake of Srikanth. You mor-ons take IPL performance into consideration. See even Ravindra Jadeja played better for Kochi than Uttappa for Pune. Uttappa is yet to regain his form or searching for it. For me Vijay is one of the lucky guys, he is a failure in one-dayers but has been good in Test Cricket so plz stop speaking bad about someone who is pretty successful than his peers.

Agreed. Might not agree with your words to describe cheeka. But he is clearly biased. Uththappa not in 30 is a clear sign of bias.
Money is important and players want it. The way inflation is rising the petrol may go on 150 Rs. /Lit. These players have imported low average vehicles. And how many other expences do they have? We should have some sympathy for them. Matches with other countries will come and go. But IPL is much much more than the nation. As crores of foolish keep Bharat bandh for that.
right from the first year srk's team is always in the news for all the wrong reasons. why not ranji trophy made more attractive. during sunny,vishy & jimmy amarnath days it was really competitive. when sachin last played ranji trophy for mumbai.
IPL and WI tournament are both sponsored by BCCI. Stop calling WI series as "playing for the country".
It is a 2nd grade team, ruined by a corrupt board, in a country nobody shows up to watch. Even West Indian cricket fans are not interested anymore. Should he ignore 10 crore rupees (2.4M dollars) and a chance to play with/against best cricketers in the world in IPL to go play in West Indies where even Chris Gayle is not interested in playing? Gauti helped us win the world cup with that crucial 97* and he also helped us win that T20 world cup. To me he did enough for team India and he does not need to prove his commitment by playing West Indies.

what do you mean sponsored by BCCI? you fool, BCCI is not a god.BCCI is there because it is within india.BCCI is nothing without india.playing against other countries and winning it gives your country fame and reputation,not against these dramatic ipl where players themselves dont know about their commitments.Country is always above club.These players earn a lot from their advertisements ,so they should concentrate on intnl matches.These players command so much value b/c they have proved themselves in international matches.So dont comment that sponsor is same,.Thats why australia cricketers keep national intrest above their money intrest ,so likes of ponting,clarke are not playing in IPL.It is not players fault,but mouth watering greedy selfish board bcci.IF this year ipl had happened before world cup,INDIA surely had not won world cup.See previous year matches results just after ipl where india lost the major tournaments just because of this foolish ipl.so think before you speak.

y we r making its an issue gauti had been matchwinner for india in big matches. his 75 against pakistan in t20 wc final, 82 against pakistan in asia cup and 97 against srilanka in wc final r 3 innings which players like dhoni & sachin can't play. so be positive he is a gr8 sportsperson with big heart who does well everytime when he wore indian shirt. don't make it big issue if he is injured he now take rest as we can beat wi by our 2nd team but after that we have 2 tough series agaisnt england & australia.

Well said met, current WI team is like a 2nd string team. So, instead of sending the established players, better to give chance to fresh prospects..

I agree, Gauti is a great contributor, but do you have to bad mouth Dhoni and Sachin? Didn't Dhoni finish the final for us with 90 ? Wasn't Sachin 2nd highest run scorer in world cup?
When you are praising one cricketer in the team, you dont have to denigrate others.

Now did he not play for India with all that pain and helped in winning the World Cup. I believe, for Gambhir, work ethics and commitments are very important, whether to the country or club. He is not a very outspoken person who goes on boasting about his achievements but silently has been playing an important part wherever he has played. It's not right to question his level of commitment for the country. Instead, it's the BCCI who's to be blamed who isn't giving the players any rest -- squeezing in an even longer IPL than ever between two very important international fixtures.
