Today is a new start for me and I am very excited about the future. I will give my complete support to our new captain and continue to do my best to set the best possible example for my team-mates and emerging cricketers alike

What a Statement by Ricky ;-)

Today is a new start for me and I am very excited about the future. I Assume he is almost sure that he won't be in the team as a Player and "continue to do my best to set the best possible example for my team-mates and emerging cricketers alike" hahaahha how to Argue and how to wait for the umpire after edged?

We have to be doing everything we can to win back the Ashes in 2013-14 and the World Cup in 2015. It is highly unlikely that I will be still playing so it is the right decision for Australian cricket that the next captain now be appointed. This will give him the opportunity to create his own direction and legacy.

Fall of Cricket

The father of Cricket (England) have been made minnows. Just see how SL whitewashed them. Australia stopped producing outstanding cricket talents a decade back. Once Invincible West Indies, their cricket team is just a formality.South Africa team has no character left. No one will take them seriously now. So, cricket has become a regional game now, specific to Indian subcontinent (India, Pak, SL, Bangladesh).

Will it not be good to call Cricket World Cup as SAARC Cup. ;-)
