Ponting quotes :
by Senthil on Mar 29, 2011 11:01 AM

I've made it very clear to the selectors that Im still available in both forms of the game. Im reasonably confident that I will be picked for the touring team to Bangladesh. Now that I've decided to make this change in my career I'll be sitting in the corner, Coming into first class cricket as a 17-year-old I'm pretty used to taking orders

DONT BE TOO EXCITED...THIS IS WHAT OZ NOW..IF THEY DONT HAVE TOP 3(Mc Grath, Warne, Gillespe) BOWLERS AND TOP 2 (Gilly, Hayden) BATSMAN. Its an ordinary team like India with this team he can't win any cups.! Did u got what I mean to say ? Its not his eagerness to win..its the team where he found who can fight for him to win.

Grow up kid.

Raj.

Ponting's Only Peoblem
by Ayaskant Swain on Mar 29, 2011 10:55 AM

Ponting is a genius batsman & was one of the greatest captains of world cricket. But the main problem with him was his arrogant nature which marred his image on the filed. It is only due to his bad manners, sometime cheating (2007 Test series vs India) & arrogant nature pulled him down. Gilchrist & Brett Lee were the best players with humble nature in Australian team.

Best batsman when in form

I really believe he is the most stylish and fluent batsman when he is at his best even better than sachin but only when he is at his best, otherwise the most easiest man to get him out . Thats the problem with him and will remain always.

The Technique what Ponting is the best in the world cricket but only problem is his arrogance pulled him down in the end.The finer point in Ponting is the fear he created in opposition team which was very evident when played against us, MSD was most worried man at that moment. Finally battle was between won by MSD

Only quality missing in him is " being Humble" Otherwise he is a gret batsman. The entire Australian culture is reflected in his behaviour. Can he change or can the australian culture come out of the aborigine roots??

You are correct!

That quality is missing in most of the Austrelian players..
But as a cricket player, he is a class batsman without any doubt!
