Why did the Team management & Dhoni select Zaheer if he is unfit,,,blooody hell he has been resting for more than a month. People who performed where those who went on the WI tour not the ones who came back rested..... this shows how skewed the minds of the senior cricketers are when it comes to records.... please take your bow and dont spoil whatever love the public has for the game.
how did angrez induce-engineer variable bounce on the pitch(delhi pitch was banned for variable bounce) or for that matter, how did angrez play (broad and prior) on that pitch with variable bounce and hit.
In the english conditions, genuine all rounders who can bowl medium pace, play a crucial role. Pravin is a prime example grabbing 5 for in 1st innings. I think we shoud have gone in with Irfan Pathan, whose swing would be useful in these conditions and also, more importantly, PK and IP have shorter run ups, so dhoni should not have problems with the over rates!!! They would also fill in the void in a case like Zaheer injury and can bat deep down (like prior) as in those conditions, batting becomes easy after the ball loses its shine.
in the 1st place, why go with only 4 bowlers and then suffer in case one of them misfires or gets injured?
Greg Chappell tried to inculcate aggression by going with 5 bowlers, but no, our superstar pampered batsmen are afraid to take on responsibility. Even with a world-class wkt keeper batsman like Dhoni, they are chicken to leave out the 6th batsman.
