agree .. Sehwag and Gambhir are very crucial cog in India's dominance wheel. Dravid and Laxy are legends and rest all are just club players.
Its evident now that Dravid just cant be avle to score quick runs against a team like WI on the 5th day. Conditions were not bad but still Dravid plays his own style without caring abt the result.
Enough of him. Time to throw this tortoise out of team. Kick this idiot out who just cant play according to situation.
Time and again it happened. India cant take chance on final day and people are happy with just 1-0 result. Please dont call this team as No. 1. If you are a champion team, play like a champion, no matter even u lose.

funny because it seems like you are a loser. The team tried and when they realized they could not, they stopped and took a draw. But you call them losers because you have a fantasy in your mind. Wake up nice guy. Honestly a half strength aussie team would have done the same.
Sorry to say that India do not deserve to be a No. 1 Test team. Infact they dont deserve to be champions.
When you are playing against a team like West Indies, who are nowhere near to India in tests and you got to score 180 runs in 45 overs..Why you have to play for a Draw, inspite of having a decent batting line up?
Not playing the mandatory 15 overs is just foolish. Atleast they cud have tried to play in a ODI style. They cud have changed the batting order for No. 3 position. If you cannot take risks, how can you be called a No.1.
Lastly, even Bangladesh cud have won the match yesterday.

Aus and WI when they were dominant used to win at least 2 tests in a series .Mostly there were whitewashes. India are happy to win just 1 test in a away series

Only if guys like Sachin are dropped permanently, will the Indian mindset change. Even the fans have become blind as you can see from stupid comments below. India was not chasing 300 in 300 balls but 90 in 90 balls. Even if they could make 40-45 in the first 10 overs and conserved wickets, they could have tried to get 45 in the last 5. Not always easy but easy always does not make you No.1 Down with Sachin and the oldies. We need a new mindset. MSD should be strong and offer Sachin some other job. He has enough money to buy Sachin as the CSK asst coach.

Hero, it is a young team not the full strength. Atleast get a perspective before you fantasize comparing it with a full strength aussie team. Any instance that you remember where a half strength aussie team went after a total in tests ?

Before commenting to force victory on final day, india is not at full strength, with this team, india clinched series with 1-0 is good as far as i am concerned.

I know all the great players and don't rate him even outsider to that list... Great players play to WIN........ Do you know this???????????
I am surprised to find so many comments indicating that it was "easy" to score 85 of 90 balls in the last innings. I can only sympathise with those people for their lack of depth in understanding the game, especially test cricket and the conditions on the day, and the opposition tactics.
A little explanation here might help. 1) Unlike T-20 or Oneday matches, in a test match there are no field restrictions, nor there is any limit on number of overs to be bowled by any bowler. So the bowling captain can have his best 2 bowlers with the best possible field positions. This makes asking rate of 6 challenging. 2) The pitch was turning well and square making the scoring difficult. You could easily loose wickets if you try and create shots. If the bowling is disciplined, runrate of 4 can be considered good on this pitch. 3)Negative bowling, i.e. bowling away from the batsmen on legside and turning it in, can be employed in a test match which makes playing shots difficult, also there is no fear of being called "wide" unlike T-20 or Oneday match.
These are only a few for beginners who dont understand test cricket. I suggest such people dont watch a test match.

but whatever you say, India should have gone for the kill. 90 runs in 90 balls is not such a big task in todays cricket. I don't know why India opted for a Draw.Sammy was so pleased with the offer that he came running towards Dhoni to congratulate him after the match & was visibly very pleased. It should be said that India drew the match fr. the jaws of win. ICC should make play the full quota of 15 mandatory overs. Else there will be more & more dull draws in Test Cricket which is not good for Tests which is already a flop with the public.

I agree with laksham. Its was not 20-2, also u can't get runs for wide , and the way bishoo was bowling its always gonna difficult
