Re: Ganguly! by Rough Tough on Jan 10, 2011 11:07 AM Well Naveen I think u have read it other way around...not that Ganguly create chaos in the dressing room and even he never fought for captaincy.... the fact is that Ganguly is a natural leader... it becomes very hard for lesser mortals to outshine Ganguly's leadership skills and that creates tension i the dressing room... u can have a lion ruling the jungle but tiger stands out with his aggression and skills...so taking Ganguly without making him a captain wur be idiotic and tht is where probably script went wrong for him in this ipl auction... as you rightly said it has nothing to do with his age nd performance... but seems that his biggest strength has caused the biggest blow to his career...    Forward   |   Report abuse

And, Agarkar is still one of best among India's fast bowlers. Re: ugly truth of ganguly by Rough Tough on Jan 10, 2011 11:24 AM agree with all ur points but let's look a it this way friend- 1) his aggression and arrogance on field changed the llok of Team India who no longer appear to be submissive bunch of cricketers but aggressive men ready to take the opponents on their face. remember how we tamed Oz aggression or paid back flintoff by barebody act on Lord's balcony 2)Tendulkar still comes at no 4 at test... and in ODI after famed Sachin-Sourav partnership it was well known fact that Indian middle order used to crumble like a pack of cards.... so a masterstroke at that time allowed to nurture young talents Yuvraj. Kaif to take reins of middle order. 3)No comments... just compare stats of dravid of pe wkera and post wk era... u vil find urself tht how he helped his long time friend not only to retain his spot but to rejuvenate his skills to emerge as a stronger cricketer. ah now i am tired of defending ganguly.... response to other charges on some other day... let us adjourn it for the day :-)    Forward   |   Report abuse
