Sachin is playing for ages hence he has amassed his records. He could start playing early due to lack of talent in India when he started his career, he became a permanent fixture in team. Luck does play a part along with talent. Sachin is good with time on his side. Many others are better.

Isn't maintaining fitness & consistency for so many years in international cricket a great achievement? Sachin had been target of politics so many times. He was denied a century or record many a times. Even the team coach Greig Chappel was determined to finish him to promote Punter as No.1. Chappel had declared end of Sachin era, but he is still playing well & Greig is not seen anywhere. I do not wish to out Kallis down, but at least he must not have faced circumsatnces Sachin has faced in his life. That's why Sachin is the GREATEST.

yes well said.Sachin has tamed many many best bowlers in the world.likes PAK,AUS,WI,ENG,SA,SL so on. while others have to face bowling attacks like India. In this series also if Sachin would have been playing for SA he would have scored century in his each innings against bowling of India Ishant,Sreeshant,Zak,HB etc. and that's why he is always rated best.

Re: 'Tendulkar best cricketer after Kallis'

why you need Tendulkar to compare with all others? there you are admitting fact that he is best.you could have just said Kallis is best in the world but no if it's cricket it's Tendulkar and that's why every one compare any tom, dik, hary with him
I'm not suprised by Kallis Magic.. Gr8 show Hats-off, even i'm impressed by Bhajji sportsman spirit. Please, someone teach cricket to Dhoni, slagging and aggression is part of game, in short he is demoralizing Sreesanth

Yeah, Kallis is underdog.....He never receive attention as he deserve for....Kallis always tagged with best all rounder in the world....but he is far better than that....slowly he had surpassed punter with 40 centuries in his kit...

Don't Compare Shewag with Kallis. if kallis is Mr. Responsible, but when shewag delievers he is Mission Impossible.. his triple centuries are proof

Shewag has scored runs in all the cricket playing countries in all type of pitches. Look at the big scores sehwag has got. Remember his innings like century on debut, 195 at melbourne, double century against murali & mendis attack at galle where every big indian names strugled,Century at trinidad where he scored 98 by the end of the morning session of the first day, Century at tough condition of England, two triple cnturies & six double centuries. Dont compare as they are different style of players. Kallis is really playing well and very hard working batsman but not a genious like Sehwag or Lara.
Kallis has been an amazing player. Even at the time about 10 years back when he was a consistent batter, he could have played for any team just as a bowler. And the innings he played Y'day with an injury shows his mental fortitude. Hats off to a great player!
Sachin has shown his true colors in last inning of first test match in on-going series by exposing tail-enders and watching them getting out from the other side. Although India couldn't win that game, but he didn't even tried for that..This guy may be the God of game because of his records..But he's certainely not a team player...

u can ask ICC to allow extra batsmen to bat for the tailenders. u ididot. tailenders r not to bowl only. they have to know atleast to stay for 15 balls.
he seems to have a comment on everything,everyone..what wrong did sreesanth do. poor guy the way the media, team, selection board,sa team,sa crowds, match referee and even his own captain are going after him.why? what is his fault? he is aggressive. all these efforts to curb his aggression.now india keeps wondering why we cannot produce fast bowlers.

This is the difference between a captain & a great leader. Dhoni may ultimately be the most successful captain of India but Sourav Ganguly will forever remain the greatest leader of Indian cricket. Remember his fight against ICC for Sachin, Sehwag & Co. in SA and his numerous fights against Cricket Australia, ECB and partial umpires like Darrell Hair, Steve Bucknor etc. all for the cause of Indian players and national pride?
