Sory Mr Einstein, with IQ above 200.This article has nothing to do with test status.Read the heading first before pooing on tne forum. Now decide who is dumb...
If rediff includes Zimbabwe's Dave Houghton's innings (142 which was superb with lot of reverse sweeps... that was new at that time); Kapil's innings of 175 not out against Zimbabwe should come at the top of the list since it was the innings that ultimately lead to India's world cup triumph in 1983.

Yes the innings was one of the greatest but Zinbabwe wasnt a test playing nation then (its not even now 1992-2004)

Would like to mention, Zimbabwe wa in good form that time, and they have defeated Australia too, and posing challenges for others, and India was already down at 17-5, when Kapl played this legendary innings.
How can Kapil Dev's 175 run innings in the 1983 World cup not be in this list? He came in when the score was 17 runs with 5 wickets down; and then took the team to 260 with a blitzkrieg of a knock.

Yes Kapil's was a remarkable innings but this list here comprises of greatest innings against a test playing nation. Zimbabwe got that status only in 1992 (to loose it later in 2004) and wasnt a test playing nation at the time!

Yes they do but Lousy ones ;) However here they are fine as Zimbabwe wasnt a test playing nation at the time and this list comprises of matches b/w test playing nations only.
